I am using OPKs and I test every 24 hours. Is it possible to miss a surge within 24 hours and not get a positive result? I hope this question makes sense!

I was BBT charting, CM monitoring and just for good measure, OPK's ... and I must have missed my surge somehow because I never got a +, not even faint, and I got pregnant that cycle.

I believe it is possible, some women's surge is over within hours...alot of women use 2 a day, one in the afternoon and one at night...

you didn't ovulate or you missed your surge. Do you test first thing in the morning? They say not to as your levels are the lowest and climb during the day. I test mid-morning (not with first morning urine) and in the evening before bed. I got + for around a day and a half.

I test in the afternoon around 2:00 every day. I haven't detected a thermal shift yet but I am wondering if I could have missed my surge in the past day or two.

Yes, it's possible to miss your surge. I have before testing twice a day! You'll see the test line get darker and darker, but never positive, and then get lighter again. Has this been the case?

Well, I had a faint line for thurs, fri & sat...on sunday I had a darker line but not positive but I used my OPK in the morning (not first urine though) and I know you aren't supposed to use them in the AM so I used another one Sunday PM and the line was very faint again. And another very faint one today. I am trying to monitor CM but it is hard cause we've been BDing almost everyday and I can't tell the diff. between CM and Semen. As for my CP...well, I'm lost when it comes to that :) Any thoughts?
