Hey there! I just started charting my BBT and was wondering. This morning it was 96.70 and cuz i was bored I decided to check it right now before I go to bed, and it was 99.17 So my question is weather or not I could possibly be ovulating. I know that it increases after you get out of bed. I am not sick or anything either. Does charting your BBT only mean something in the morning? I guess I am hoping that I am so when I test before my next period it may come out pos. Plz any advice you have will be very helpful.

Any temps you take after you have gotten out of bed or even started talking or even been restless don't mean anything. Your temp when you wake must be taken the moment you wake before you talk, before you get up etc. You temp being 99.17 does seem a bit high for daytime temps but your low temp this morning is the accurate one and seems to still be in pre-O phase. I would completely forget about the 99.17 temp and try not to confuse yourself anymore by taking more temps throughout the day. Once you get the hang of temping and what is true and what isn't when temping than you can expiriment. Expirimenting now will only succeed in confusing and disolisioning you. I hope this helps.

Oh and the temp you take in the morning is the one important to know O. Whatever your day or night time temps are not relevant to O. For instance last night going to bed my temp was 97.5 but it was 98.0 this morning. Crazy huh you would think the night time temp would be higher. My BF was 96.8, and he was warm, which was really wierd. I was even thinking something might be wrong with the thermometer :) I dont think he placed it right under his tongue lol
