I don't really know, but I asked on another strand where exactly Montgomerys Tubercles grow- nipple or areola? I had white spots on my nipple, but also have bumps on my aereola.

I do also have bumps in my aureola and as you call them "white spots" I have one or two in each nipple. Are these sign of pregnancy? because my bumps are getting larger and more white. As well as my blue veins are more visible (now even when I enlarge my aureola I see that blue veing are quite visible in that area as well). Sue, are you pregnant?

I'd like to know the answer to this too. I have white bumps on my nipples, but not surrounding them. Can anyone help us out?

When you pregnant you can get white pimple like things on your nipples, but hormones before your period can also make them look this way.

so which are the Montgomery Tubercles? on the nipple? If so, what are the bumps on the areola? Do they mean pregnancy?

LOL you can never get a straight answer to this question, that's how come it's posted so often.

Maybe I should explain myself, when I was pregnant with both of my kids I had the white spots on my nipples, since then I notice them only before my period comes. So I only know that you don't have to be pregnant to have them. However I have read that Montgomery Tubercles are on your areola not your nipple.

The Montgomery tubercles are "sweat" glands described as being on the areola. They can be just bumps or they can fill with oily white matter. There have been enough posts from women with "white nipples" that the impression forms that for some they cluster real close to center. Since the glands have always been there and in some women do become noticeable as PMS, what counts as an early sign is what is "different".

Okay so I'm retarded and just ran to the bathroom to look at mine... I have bumps too but they aren't necessarily white... and I don't remember what color my nips were before to know if they are any darker... this sucks. Still feeling funny, and same with the soreness of my boobs.. they seem sensitive but then again maybe I poked them too much or it's bc of AF... argh. sigh.

rebecca, I feel the same way. I'm not sure what's going on with me and what's af or pregnancy..I make my husband do boob checks- to see if he thinks the color, size and MG's have changed any...it can become obsesive!

I've had little white bumps on my aerola and I thought that meant I was pregnant but I came on my menstrual on time. So I guess it is a sign of AF.

you could actually have something called mastitis which is an infection on the nipple. get your doc to have a look and see if its hormone related or infection related

I've been researching the whole "nipple pimples" thing for awhile now. There's no doubt that I have some as well, and the seem to keep multiplying. My question however, is how do you minimize the darn things. They really make me feel insecure about myself, and I'd like to get back the nipples I had before pregnancy.

My question is similar. I have been breaking out in smal pimples all across my chest and breasts which has NEVER happned before. I get them on my back, eww gross I kno but not my chest. My face has also been more prone to break outs this past week which is not usual even before my period and I am following the same skin care regimine.

JP, a change in your acne can be an early signs, and it can go either way - better or worse. Good luck!
