I don't know if I'm experiencing an early pregnancy symptom or if I have some other gyno problem. Last Friday, I went to the my doctor's office because I was having lower abdominal pain. In the morning I noticed an increased discharge, milkyier than egg whites, but not foul smelling or anything. I haven't had a period in about 8 weeks, but wasn't too concerned since I just went off the pill and it can take a while for the cylce to normalize. And I just took a HPT and it was neg. The nurse said it was just ovulation pain. All weekend, my lower abdomin felt weird, sort of painful, but almost more of a pressure. My husband thinks my nipples look different and I think they feel tender. Yesterday I noticed something really strange. My labia look swollen. My husband said that I felt different when we made love too. There's not vaginal pain or redness in that area and no itching, so it doesn't seem like an infection. So I don't know what to think. Have others had this experience? If so, how did it turn out? I'm in school and my school health insurance requires me to go to this clinic and I can't see a gynecologist withou a referral, which they're not very willing to give.

You may be in the very early stages - you have no means of knowing when you ovulated after coming off the pill. A clear or creamy discharge is a sign, sensitive nipples are often mentioned, labia are sometimes mentioned along with increased vascularization (veins) that some women experience early but in this case the labia are discolored or even purple. I have also talked to women who at some stage complain about a different feeling during sex - that would go along with the labia if parts you don't see are also swollen. Take a preg tet next weekend first pee in the morning, and another a week later. It can take a while for hCG to build up. Good luck!

Thanks. I'll wait and take another. I wish I had some patience!
