i do get occassional nausea with the prenatals if i take them too close to my coffee and with not enough food.

Prenatals shouldn't cause signs of pregnancy (except maybe nausea if taken on an empty stomach), but quitting birth control will cause every symptom in the book. Have you just quit hormonal birth control to ttc?

I couldn't take them period. They made me feel awful. My Dr. told me to take a chewable mulivitamin (a children't vitamin with a higher folic acid amount) which worked much better for me. Easier on my tummy.

I have a 7 week old baby and I'm breastfeeding, so I haven't stopped taking my prenatal vitamins. And they STILL make me feel nauseaus and hurt my stomach if I don't take them with milk and food. If I use water, that doesn't work. lol Also I'll second the comment about going off bc and feeling like you might be pregnant.... that doesn't help the confusion. Good luck.

I take my pre-natal vitamin before I go to bed... as suggested by my doc.

I'm already pregnant but a question just came to mind...let's say a woman is trying to get pregnant and starts taking prenatals. She ends up trying for over a year to get pregnant. Is it safe to take prenatals for and extended period without getting pregnant?

well, i guess I answered my own question. . I took a pregnancy test this morning and I had a very faint positive line, but thats still a positive isnt it!
