Hi there! I'm new to this forum and my husband and I are trying to conceive! It will be our first! :]

I have been having symptoms of a pregnancy for a couple of weeks now. Cramping, back ache, nauseous, breasts are a little sore, headaches, massive heart burn and I've never had it before and I'm sure I'm missing a few other symptoms.

My period isn't due until the 12th and it would be really unusual for me to get PMS symptoms right now since I only get them the day of my period.

I start a new job on Monday and I'll be working all day Monday through Friday and it's only for 2 weeks so I really don't want to have to ask the kid's mom if I can take off for a doctor's appointment.

I know that a blood test can detect pregnancy earlier than a HPT. So I was wondering if I should make a doctor appointment for this Friday? It would be about 6 days before my period. What do yall think?
