When I found out I was pregnant with a one-night stand (we used a condom) I told him and we haven't talked since. I dont think he belives me because we used protection, but it cant be anyone elses and I will probably have to wait until I have the child to have a paternaty test to prove to him. His older sister says he will be there for our child and he would be a good father but I dont know him at all. I would like to get to know him better before I have my baby...so when he comes around to see the kid he isnt like a stranger and we feel too uncomfterble...I want to talk with him but I dont know what to say can you help me with a detailed possable way for me to takl with him without scaring him off?

I am in the same situation right now. I am 14 wks pregnant with a guy a barely know at all...I feel like we are strangers and I haven't talked to him since I told him I was pregnant (when I was 5 1/2 wks)
It is so scary to me and uncomfortable...but I want my baby to know who its own father is...all I can say is hang in there and let me know what to do if you come up w/something.

I think that both of yall should go straight forward and tell him what is on ur mind and in ur heart. I would begin with saying that it is the fault of both of us and we need to at least have some kind of communication for the child and we need to be friends. Make it easy on urself with out scaring him away. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS YALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Its nice to see that someone else out there is in the same situation as me. I had a one-night with a friend of a friend, and now im 14 weeks pregnant. I speak with the father on a weekly basis, so all you really need to do is say "Hey, can we talk!" It worked for me! The hardest part is that he's currently separated from his wife (no possible reconciliation) and he's afraid to tell his family or friends. He has only told two people, and i really think he should tell his family soon. I want him to be a part of this child's life, including all of the prenatal care, but he's unsure what he wants to do. Any input on my situation?
