Poor you, that is horrible and even so more during your pregnancy! Yikes. Okay, as hard as it might be--but you know it will get easier--you have to separate him as your ex boyfriend and him as the farther of your (plural) child. You will be (from the sounds of it) doing this on your own, meaning no partner for you. Hopefully he will take his responsibility seriously and support you and your child emotionally and financially. Perhaps if you are closer to his mom, to let her be the go between--if it is too much for you to deal with him right now. Hopefully she is supportive and loving towards you...is she...? Focus on yourself and the baby and make sure he give you the space you need. Perhaps a few months from now you can begin talks with him about how he envisions his involvement with his child and how he plans to support you both. It is natural that you feel so hurt and angry you just don't want to hear his voice...so be it and just don;t speak with him. Maybe you can pass on the news of your checkups thru his mom. Are you near your parents? Do you have support near by? Good luck!! |
