Different Dads

I am three months and expecting my second child. I am divorced and have a wonderful seven year old son, who spends every other weekend with his father. This new baby's father probably will not be around, it was an accident and he was not prepared for me to keep the baby. Anyway at the end of the day it looks like I will have one kid that has a part time dad and one kid that has none.... any suggestions on how to explain this to the kids?

Although it's hard to believe, there are a couple of good men out there. My brother was always resentful of me because mom married my dad, and his dad was out busy making babies with about 15 other women. one day, dad had a talk with my bro about how he is his father now and he loves him very much, then the resentment went away. You will find a good man to help you take care of your baby-to-be, he will be a father figure, if not a father and could adopt your little bundle. just have confidence that there is someone out there for you and don't be so depressed. your poor little ones can sense it. if that guy isn't man enough to assume the responsibility of his child, forget him. you don't need the jerk anyway.
