I'm kind of single as my boyfriend doesn't really want to have a kid. I'm almost 25, Chilean and my boyfriend is 39 English. We've been together for more than 3 years now, and I had my right ovary removed last year and started having problems with my left ovary. The doctor told us to start considering either we want a family or not, 'cause basicallyI might not be able in about 6 to 10 months from now...at first I didn't want to have kids but now that I'm totally head over heels for him I'm even considering just using his sperm to have my baby, it's not that I'm actually going to get pregnant straight away...but I'm totally thinking of having a baby with this guys' sperm...'cause I don't want to have a kid with nobody else but him...What should I do?? He's scared, it's his first long-term relationship as he used to travel a lot...so he's pretty scared about making this decision, on the other hand I'm being "pushed" towards making it anyway....I might lose the chance to become a mom....WHAT SHOULD I DO?? Need advice pleeaseeee!!!!!!

Wow a 39 y/o who can't commit is sure someone whom has plenty of issues. You've been together for 3 years and he still cannot make up his mind! I do not recommend using his sperm secretly that is totally unfair to him and right out unacceptable.

I'm not using his sperm secretly, I told him as I knew it was going to be a really difficult decission that I had considered being a single mom...as HE is the guy I love and I can't think of having somebody else's baby. He said he didn't mind if I used his sperm, I told him not to feel obliged by that...as I DO want to have a kid even if he's not with me...

How are you using his sperm? Why do you insist on that term? Its so weird. Using sperm is when you go to a sperm bank. Your clearly going to engage in intercourse therefore your not using his sperm , your TTC! I dont get what is going with you guys..youre either together or your not ....I do hope you get pregnant soon though ..good luck...

We're living together...so what I meant by "using his sperm" was basically that as we're still sleeping together I just stopped taking my contraceptive pills to see what happens...I've made my decission and I do want to have a kid, and I'm open to the idea of having his kid without him. Today I just woke up feeling calm and happy...I hope I get pregnant 'cause I think it would be such a wonderful thing as I am in love with this guy and maybe he just needs to think, he's been travelling on his own all his life, and I'm his first steady relationship, so as he says "he doesn't think of a future without me" maybe he's just scared...as it is a big responsability. By the way what does TTC mean? I'm not a native speaker so sometimes I get a bit los with these abreviations...thanks for your wishes and for replying as well. Hope to hear from you again

TTC = trying to concieve.
If i were in your position I would considere having a child ASAP and with whomever is available! With one ovary you will have a more iddifuclt time because ovulation is random to either and it doesnt necessarily mean you will ovulate from the oe you have left. Ask your dr. what u can do about that and if there is anything such a clomid needed to induce ovulation. Good Luck with your old and confused man! LOL
