Possibly Pregnant

I recently found out that my live in boyfriend of six years has been cheating on me for the past few months. Since cheating is something I don't think I can work through, I quickly found an apartment and moved out of the house we own togather. He eventually apologized and in a moment of weakness and loneliness, we ended up having sex. Well, now my period is late and I'm going out to buy a pregnancy test later on today. I'm so scared because I don't know if I could ever trust him again. I WANT to be a mom so badly but I didn't want it to happen like this. My family is going to be so disappointed in me because they saw how devastated I was when I found out he was cheating. What makes this all worse is that I had a miscarriage in March. So, if I am pregnant and I lose another baby, I just might go off the deep end. I take responsibility for my moment of weakness and I'm just praying that things turn out okay.

Well, I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I probably should have waited until first thing tomorrow morning but I couldn't. Maybe my cycle is off because I have been so stressed out. It's a waiting game now.

Well, still no period and I'm quite a few days late. I took another pregnancy test Sunday morning, but it came up negative. I'm not sure what to think about all of this. Anybody have any ideas?

Maybe your stress is delaying your period. How late are you? If you've taken two test and they’ve both come out negative then most likely your not pregnant but if your period fails to show soon maybe you should go see your doctor. I'm so sorry about your situation.....men are ass hole (at least most of them are). If you are pregnant don't worry about this being the “wrong time” or that your family may be disappointed. There never seems to be a "right" time and being a mom is a blessing no matter what the circumstances are. On another subject, did you go to Duke or do you live in NC...just guessing from your screen name. Please let me know the final outcome. Good luck!

Technically, I'm five days late. I guess to me that's a really long time because my cycle is always 31 days. I usually get crampy and bloated a few days before my period and I'm not getting any symptoms yet. Since both tests have come back negative, I'm thinking that all the stress I've been experience is the main contributor to my period being late. Thanks for your encouragement! No, I don't live in NC and I didn't graduate from Duke (I wish!). I've been a HUGE Duke fan since I was 13 years old, I'm now 30. I'll let you know the final outcome, I just wish I'd know something pretty quickly.

Well, I'm not pregnanct. It's definitely a HUGE relieve. However, I just found out that "she" may be pregnant with his child. When I found out I felt like someone reached in my chest and ripped out my heart. If she's pregnant I will be totally devastated.
