I was planning a waterbirth with a midwife at a birthing center. I began feeling ill one night and didn't feel the baby moving much. I dismissed it and went back to sleep. I woke up feeling ill still and didn't feel the baby moving like she normally did, so I called my midwife and she said to monitor it through the day and if her movements didn't pick up then we'd go listen to the heartbeat. I concentrated all day and was uncomfortable so I called my midwife and we listened to baby's heart and the rate was over 220 BPM. We drove to the hospital where I had an emergency c-section and the baby has since spiked twice up into the 270's and the second time, converted herself back to a normal rate. She is in the NICU still (she is 5 days old) and is scheduled to come home soon. Anyone else experiencing it or have any advice to offer?

Do you mean SVT? Super Ventricular Tachycardia? or is it different?

yes she has been diagnosed with SVT (sorry I was a bit sleep-deprived) and she has wolff-parkinson-white syndrome.
