I am suppose to be 6 weeks pregnant, tests show positive, hcg levels show positive, had cramping and light pink spotting on Sat. 2-2-08. Went to ER and had ultrasound, they found no heartbeat, just a gestational sac,yolk sac, no fetal pole. They said I was 6 weeks, 2 days off measurements. My hcg level was 22636 had the blood test again today 2-4-08 and hcg level was at 25818. It did not double. I have had 6 children all healthy, this is my 7th pregnancy, I am 40 years old, but my husband does have a genetic disorder call balance translocation. All the children are carriers but are normal and healthy. I go to dr. tomorrow on 2-5-08 to talk about a d and c procedure.How do I really now there is not a baby in me? Theres only 2 conception dates that I could have gotten pregnant on 12-12-07 or 12-18-07 last period was 12-04-07. Anyone have any similar stories. ER dr. thinks it might be blighten ovum, empty gestational sac and a fetus never developed. But why did my hcg levels go up 3000, I know it wasn't doubled like it should have.
