if my child shows some of the signs of FAS does this mean it is FAS or is it just a coinsidance,my child has the following; hearing problems ( glue ear ) has to wear glasses near or far ( not sure ),no attention span, disruptive, anger problems,co-ordination problems with his hand/eye co-ordination especially his fingers,hyper-active,sleeping problems ( he will not go to sleep)

If you drank during your pregnancy, it would be FAS. If not, coincidence.

If you drank a lot--binge drinking--very often...say 2 plus times a week most of the pregnancy, then perhaps it is alcohol related. I am a teacher and I have read over and over the "signs" of FAS and most children display something. Who is perfectly normal? I feel both my brother and I have ADHD and my mom did not drink a sip during pregnancy. I have friends who had very small babies, below 5 pounds at term and did not drink or smoke during pregnancy. I have heard and read stories of babies and children of mom who drank lots before finding out they were pregant, sometimes up until the 2nd trimester and they claim their children are "normal". How old is your child and why would you suspect FAS?
