15,pregant,high Bp

Im 15 and pregant, up until my last dr's appt everything was fine except for now my bp went up from 104 to 130 in less then three weeks and I gained ten ibs in three weeks, but my total wieght for my pregancy is 27ibs im 24 1/2 weeks, does any one have any advice for how to help my bp?

What was the bottom number on your blood pressure? They probably said 130 over something...the bottom number seems to be the one they worry most about.

umm i dont remember exactly but i know it was high enough to have my docter concerened.

I had high blood pressure during both of my pregnancies. You can't really do much about it, except drink plenty of water and take calcium. If it gets high enough, your doctor will put you on blood pressure meds. You might have to have more tests done than someone with normal blood pressure, you may see the doctor more often, and if your blood pressure gets high enough, you may need to have your baby a little sooner than your due date. Look up preeclampsia for more info. I was really scared when I had it during my first pregnancy, but everything turned out all right, and it went back to normal after I had my daughter.

i'm a nurses aid.. all you can really do is watch it.. if it goes over 140 over 90 then go to the Hospital.. Drink LOTS and Lots of Water.
