HPT - When Is It Valid?

Nov 25th was the last day of my period, and me and my boyfriend were having sex and the condom broke, and he cummed in me. The next day I took the EC "Plan B" pill, had a little bit of spotting the next couple of days.

I was expecting my period a week ago. I used a HPT on Dec 17th, it was negative. I re-took it Dec 27th, it was negative. I haven't really had any pregnancy symptoms, but I've been really moody and sensitive lately, which I hope is PMS, but no sign of my period, which is what has been worrying me.

Is there any way I'm taking the pregnancy test too early and getting a false negative? When can I take it and be sure that it's really negative?

-This experience has really scared me, and I've learned I'm definitely not ready for sex.

U should wait a week---or get the one test that tells u 5 days sooner...

chanses r your not pregant if he has only came in u that one time. right after your period. sperm can only live for so long and probly wouldnt have lived till ovulation.

seven, thats not true. all it takes is one time to get pregnant. and to anon. sperm can live in u for up to 72 hours before it implants. more then likely the test would of shower up + by now if u are, but just to be sure, i would wait a few days and take another, or go to a clinic and get one done. the hormone is diff. in everyone and could just not be strong enough to tell. thats what happened to me. didnt get a + untill about, a little over a month after, even after a missed period. i hope this was a learning experience for you girl!!! lol, good luck to you!! Glad to hear someone knows to take EC. Pregnancy from sex the last day of your period does occasionally happen, so you were smart. I'm guessing Dec 17 was when you were next due, so that is when you took the first test. By Dec 27th, 10 days late, you should be able to place quite a bit of confidence in the test, but still with no guarantees. EC can really mess with your system. Mostly you will have your period within a couple of weeks of when it was due, so maybe it is on its way now. Between the early stage of the cycle when this happened, and the fact that you took EC timely, it is very unlikely you are pregnant. If your January period does not come on time (Jan 14th?) then you might take another test. Good luck!
