OMG No! Im 19 I have a 19month old daughter! I AM NOT PREGNANT with twins!!! I said I KNEW Somebody who was pregnant with twins 4 weeks after she gave birth! learn to read!!! Im not on welfare never have been & never will be. I don't live with mommy or rely on anybody so why don't you get to know me before casting stones. you shouldnt call your self pro-life because if you were you would never harm a innocient life. if somebody doesn't want to keep a pregnancy & they are mature enough to have sex then they should at least be mature enough to make the decision to give the child life- whether that be adoption or keeping the baby themselves! Thats all..again im really not here for drama. sorry for calling you sick but i get heated when the subject of abortion or "self induced" miscarriage is brought up |

I don't agree with it either, but it's not me....it's her, and if she wants that then it's on her. I'm also sorry I made the welfare comment too. I would never harm a child, nor a pregnancy like that. Again, if that's what she wants to do then it's her decision to make, I was only offering *safe* advice. |

Understood you were just trying to give her alternatives before she got an unsafe abortion. but doesnt mean I agree. sorry again :-) |

ummm... This is very rude. I'm on assistance and my bf is trying very hard to get work. You can get assistance without a baby. You must just be pregnant hormonal. |

No Lily, I'm not pregnant and hormonal. I didn't have children until I could afford them. Obviously you didn't make your decisions that way. Why the hell aren't you trying to work too???? Pregnancy is not a disease or disability, I worked thru mine to pay my own bills, are you just too good to work? Or do you enjoy that I'm paying your bills??? I'm guessing the latter of the two. BTW this conversation didn't involve you. |

It didn't involve me either, and I would just like to bring out that sometimes some woman who are pregnant have complications and aren't allowed to work due to bed rest. I don't agree with government assistance when it comes to a teen planning a pregnancy, but I would say that if they did try or are going to try and they need the help to make ends meet then that is OK. I am not on any kind of assistance and I just like you work hard to pay bills, as well as my DH, I have 2 jobs. Although one is an internship, but it is a paid internship. But just wanted to add. |

Tenk question how old are you? are you even a teen mother? I think your responses are very rude towards the welfare comments! IM SERIOUSLY NOT Trying to start issues here at all! Im still pretty upset you made the assumption that just because were teen mothers were automatically on welfare! Thats not fare at all! I'm proud to say My husband & I do better then some grown adults do for themselves! I have a run a small successful in home daycare so i can still raise my child & my husband has an awesome job . So that assumption just wasn't fair at all. |

This is really rude i was 15 when i had my daughter and her dad 17 i was on benifits for about 3 months until i turned 16 my boyfriend paris's dad has a fabulous job and i have just quit mine so i can go part time for when i start college to become a midwife so no none of you are paying my bills!!! |

ladies, ladies, the few of you are obviously the acception to the rule. All these children that are asking "Help me concvee?" If you can't spell, your obviously too you to have children. So if your working and paying your own bills then GREAT FOR YOU!!! All the other children on here that are getting knocked up and then living on state aid are the ones I'm referring to. Not you. More than half the girls on this site are children and get knocked up only to have their parents pay for the baby and the state aid. I cannot apologize for a comment I feel passionatly about, just remember there are always acceptions and you 4 might be that acception. |

You do not agree with abortion, you do not agree with welfare. So if a teen gilr ACCIDENTALLY got pregnant and decides that she wants to give this child life, knowing that she cannot afford it but cannot bear to part with her own flesh what would you say? Now, i live in England, over here you can't get a job until you are 16+ and if you have children it's extremely difficult to get a job, believe me i did a thesus on this as part of a college course i was doing. Childcare is far and few, jobs aren't accepting if the women have time off to care for their child. You also have ot be working for the company for 6 months before you get pregnant to be entitled to maternity leave. I sure as hell would prefer my taxes to be going to future children rather than war and nuclear bombs, which is basically what it is going towards. In my opinion, abortion is sick and i know i could never give a child up. So if i were young, didn't have a job and found myself pregnant, yes, i would go on benefits until i could get my child into nursery or get myself a job where the child could be cared for. Over here we have a service called the NHS, it's a health service. I don't walk around hopsitals shouting at ill/dying people because they're using my taxes. I don't shout at doctors or policemen or teachers because i pay their wages. No, because i am a respectible person and i know that some people need help every now and again and NO ONE should ever feel ashamed to ask for help if the help is available. The people you should be shouting at are the alcogholics, the drug addicts and the lazy layabouts who also get assistance/welfare/benefits (whatever you want to call it) when they can easily get a job but choose to WASTE peoples money on other things. By paying taxes and helping support new children we are helping the economy by providing future workers. You need to get your head out of the clouds, teen pregnancy happens. Get over it. (and as for you saying that people who can't spell should not have children, does that mean every dyslexic person in the world should be childless?) |

Well, since this has kind of turned into a debate, I’m going to add my two cents, just for fun (I am not for extra drama, however, if ppl can take things and debate them in a “nice” manner I’m all for that). Personally I am 100% pro-life and do not believe that abortion should ever be an option. So many ppl do not even understand what they are doing, they believe that it is nothing but tissue and such but that is just not true (all you have to do is google "abortion" and "pictures" and you will see that it was a child). It has a heart beat by time most ppl find out they are pregnant (around 22 after conception). It's a life and deserves to have a chance to live. That said, while I do not under any circumstances believe abortion should be an option (ESPECIALLY when someone was having sex by choice and wants to use it as a form of b/control --if you're big enough to do it you should be big enough to take care of a child), I do not hate ppl who have had/ or are going to have an abortion, but I do believe it is murder and I do not believe anyone should have the right to decide to kill their baby. I realize some ppl will have problems w/ this but again, I don't hate ppl who do have abortions, I just really really disagree w/ it and think it is 100% wrong. So...for all that, as far as wellfare goes. I do not believe that ppl should plan a pregnancy if they can not care for their child. However, if someone does plan it and then finds that they made a mistake, I believe, that as long as they are willing to work and try to support their child, government aid is ok. My husband works very hard (I currently stay home w/ our daughter), we make good money and pay a lot of taxes. I do believe that welfare is given to a lot of ppl who should not have it; who are just being lazy and don't want to work. However, I have no problems paying taxes that support ppl who are trying; even if they made the mistake of planning the child w/o being able to care for it. I believe, that the child should not have to suffer for the parents mistakes, and if it's helping support a teen mother, over her aborting her baby b/c she feels that she has no choice, I choose to help support her (even if she planned it and was not wise enough to have thought about supporting it --Big mistake? Yes, but everyone makes mistakes and the child should not have to suffer for it); to give her government aid, so that she knows she can do it. If she has no help, no aid, and feels lost, then it may lead to her aborting the child...which is not a fair position to place the mother in, and the child should not be the one to suffer b/c of the parent’s mistake. So...as long as she is willing to step up to the plate, to make an attempt to care for her child, to get a job, etc. I have no issue w/ giving her aid to help w/ the rest; to give her the ability to care for the child, to give her the means to keep the baby. If she is not willing to work/go to school, and if she keeps getting pregnant again and again w/ no means of supporting the child however, than it is a different storey, and all aid should be removed from her. |

sarah you took the words out of my mouth about abortion! rock on sister! |

Well I never said I was against abortion., I just could never do it personally. I just don't think it appropriate at 15, 16 or what ever that you go and get yourself knocked up and live off my tax dollars. I work hard for them. Don't worry I have a 28 year old cousin that's completely worthless and she's living off the state too.......I think that's completely rediculous. Just don't be that girl, the one that keeps having babies that she can't afford. That's all I'm saying |

I lean more towards the pro life myself but everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But just remember to think carefully and you're always the one who has to live with the decision for the rest of your life. I think there are only 2 cases where you should be able to seriously consider it, a) if a woman is severely depressed like suicidal about it etc. ( i read a preg teen once shot herself up her umm private parts to try getting rid of the baby). i mean i don't think that's right but atleast you'd be saving one life, you can't keep a eye on the woman 24/7 and B) when you've been raped.Abortion should have much more limited restrictions like that! |

I am against abortion however only for certain reasons.. I think that if you TRY to have a baby and change your mind you sholdnt be able to abort that chilsd after all you made it on purpose... anyways liek if its rape or soemthing yeh i think abortion but not just for the fu of it also i dont think that you should be abel to have more than one abortion. YOU SHOULD LEARN FROM THE FIRST ONE .. |

well tenk you are kinna rude. because yes some of us are on assistance and there is nothing wrong with that.. my mom was a single mom.. three kids.. worked 3 jobs and STILL needed to be on assistance... its just to expensive these days.. now teens shouldnt be TRYING to get pregnant.. BUT if it happens then it does.. and i was on assisance too when i was pregnant.. i had to quit my job that i had only had for three weeks because i was put on bedrest and my place wouldnt keep my job so i dont think you should be calling these girls welfare bums!! sometimes its difficult and soo we could have waited but we didnt.. and i beleive that if you were in our position WE would be using our tax dollors to pay you .. you just have put yourself in our position |
