My 15 year old daughter had sex for the first time in November. She has not had a period since. I just found out and had her take a home test it was neg. Then I took her to the dr. that urine test was neg. Then she went to clinic to get a gyn check. They gave her 3rd test which was neg. They wouldnt do a check and told her to start bc pills. She had nausea last month(which i did not notice). Her breast were tender(i thought they were still growing. She has a little bump when she lays down. My question is do you think she is preg. or do you not have your period this long after losing your virginity? That didnt happen to me. And her periods are always regular. PLEASE help, I dont know what to think. I do have her scheduled for a blood test 3/24/08.

She could very possibly be pregnant. I am 19 yrs old and my fiancee and I are ttc and I am 3 weeks late and I ALWAYS have regular periods. However, I have taken at least 6 HPT and all came out negative except one which had a very faint line, if you could even call it that. Im always nauseous in the AM and am literally exhausted. I have been reading a lot of websites and blogs and many women don't get a positive HPT until they have missed their period by a month or more, one woman I was reading about didnt test positive until she was 22 weeks preg. Take your daughter ASAP, she is so young :-( When I was 15 I got pregnant and miscarried so I know a little bit about how stressful it can be to find out that you are going to have a baby at such a young age. Good luck!

She is only 15. Give her a break. If the blood test is negative, leave the poor girl alone. She is young and its common for girls to have screwed up cycles even if they seemed to be regular before. Sometimes missed periods happen for no reason (even in adult women), and it probably doesn't help that you're stressing her out, either. If her blood test is negative, leave her alone, but I would recommend something like BC pills not only because she is sexually active but it will help keep her body cycling, which is important for her personal health.

Having sex for the first time is known to throw off a girl's cycle. You have had many negative tests since you found out, so I think she is in the clear. If it makes you feel better, you should keep the appointment for the 24th. But after that one turns out negative, I think you can give it a rest. I totally understand your actions though. You are a worried mom, and you would be the one taking on the responsibility of a new baby too. Good luck with everything!
