I had a baby!! Yay! Haha. Mylie Rylan. 8 lbs 20 1/4 inches 10:13 am 2/21/09. I was having contractons all day Friday but thought they were just braxton hicks. By 8 pm they were coming pretty regularly so i started timing them. They were 7 minutes apart and kept getting more painful. I had a little bit of bloody show. I called the hospital at 11 pm and they said to come in so we got Rylie up and dropped her off at Ryans grandmas. We got to the hospital at 12 and they started a non stress test. My OB came in and examined me and i was still only 2-3 cm dilated. He said i was in early labor and would have her late Saturday evening. I was in so so much pain. Like intolerable pain so they hooked up an iv and shot pain med in that way. It took 3 tries for my iv and the nurse almost ripped my vein and had to get someone else. The med made me feel drunk but did nothing for pain so they asked if i wanted an epidural and i said yes. This was at 545 am. I got my epidural and we went to sleep from 6-7. Well Ryan did. I was hooked to a blood pressure machine that woke me up every 15 minutes. At 7 my OB broke my water, I was 5 cm dilated. I thought man its going to be along day. My contractions werent going so well so my OB started me on pitocin. I started having horrible pressure so they checked me again and i was 9 cm dilated and she was at a -5 station. The pressure kicked my ass more then the 6 hours of contractions did. I was bad. But it was because she was transverse and face up. She turned herself head down but i had to push while my OB turned her face down. I started pushing around 9:45 and she was born at 10:13. It was a very difficult birth. Her cord had a knot in it. If the knot pulled tight she wouldnt have made it. I also had like no fluids which i had low fluids at 33 weeks and they never rechecked so her skin is so dry and flaky. She was dark purple and took forever to cry. Very scary. So that the basics of my birth story. We're home now and doing good. I didnt have to have stitches, didnt tear at all. I so happy i went into labor on my own and didnt have to be inducd again, just needed a little help at the end.

Aww congrats Newbaby!! Sounds like you had a tough time but I bet it was worth it! Can't wait to see pictures :D

Aww Yay!! I am sorry it was such a difficult birth< but thatnk god she is okay because of the cord! That is scary!...Sorry for breaking the news for you, but i was so excited for you i couldnt help it!

CONGRADULATIONS........ im glad you didnt rip or anything and it went smoother than it could have gone.... now im the last and lonely one left to have mines all the way next month..... anyways im really excited for you and so happy that you finally delivered on your own.... oh yeh when you put up pics tell me so i can give you my myspace so i can see your pics...

Thanks everyone! Yea it was definately scary finding out about the cord. Its crazy how close you can come to losing them and not even know there is a problem. Wasnt a good birth experience at all but so worth it the second they laid her on my chest. She has a head full of strawberry blonde hair and light skin. Rylie had a head of dark hair and was dark skinned.
Rylie is doing good with her right now. The first time she came into the room she would not acknowledge Mylie what so ever. She just kept saying "mommy." She wouldnt go to Ryan either. It took her about 2 hours and she would come over and look at the Mylie and she helped Ryans gma give her a bottle. Mylie had on one of those shirts with the hand covers and Rylie wanted to see her hands and feet. But she was ready to leave when the time came. Sunday she acted out alot, doing things she knew not to. Towards the end of her visit she was giving Mylie kisses and saying " i love my baby sister." So cute. We got home from the hospital around 8 pm and i walked in first and Rylie said "baby?" Ryan brought Mylie in and i tried to get Rylie to let Mylie sit with her but Rylie pushed her away. She did help Ryan change Mylies diaper and got a bottle for her. We layed Mylie in the pack and play to eat dinner and Rylie kept saying "I gota check on Mylie." and running over and looking at her. She still using the potty so far. She seems to react differently to Mylie every couple hours.
Rylie is such a talker. Nobody can believe it. She says 5 word sentences and uses I not me. She says things ive never even heard anyone say to her. I have no idea where she gets it from.
Britt- ill send you a request. I didnt know you had a myspace. I wish you best with everything you've decided to do for your family. I know without a doubt i could not do it! You're definately a very strong person.

Nope, I'm a natural very very very redhead. No one believes it's my natural color because its so...red hahaha I haven't dyed it in over a year.

Thanks ya'll! Yea im glad one of my daughters has my hair color, lol. Im a natural strawberry blonde though it lightens ALOT in the summer. People in the hospital were annoying me so much. All they talked about was her "red" hair. A new nurse would come and be like " oh this is the red head." Her hair isnt red!!!
