I was on wic after my baby was born. At the appointments all they did was basically check him out and make sure he was progressing ok. The gave me vouchers that are accepted at all grocery stores for formula, eggs, bread, milk, cereal - things like that. They don't give you money - they give you clinic care / counseling / and food coupons. All of this is based on your and your spouces income. Hope it helps...

How long does it take to get the vouchers.

You can get WIC while pregnant. You receive vouchers same day. Good Luck

if you are pregnant and go to WIC all they do is talk to you and then prick your finger, and give you some magazines and little books and then give you your valtures the same day you are there..Its simple

Just bring a paper from the doctor confirming your pregnancy. I went the day after I found out I was pregnant. They will take care of everything. You get free milk, cheese, cereal, juice etc every month. They also have appointments, and meetings on eating healthy you will need to go to. I unfortunately miscarried, and they still gave me wic for 6 months to get healthy.
