hey here is an update as i haven't updated in a long while... i am currently on bed rest as i have high blood pressure and its not going down... ive been on bed rest since i was 21 weeks and i am now 22wks and 5 days and i have 2 stay on bed rest till i am 24 weeks. On the 5th december i had a fall and i landed on my back badly and i got rushed to hospital because i couldn't move and i just wanted to make sure the girls were ok. and they found out i had a crack in the bottom of my spine. i was in intensive care for 2 days and then on maternity for 2 days. they sent me home this afternoon and said i have to be on bed rest for the next 2 months or so.. which wud take me up to 5th feb 2007 when i have to go back to see the doc bout my back to see if its healed or not. and ill be 31 weeks. i went to the doctor last week and he said the girls are growing well which is great... and hes shedualed me in for a c-section on the 5th of march... ill be 35 weeks when i have the girls.. i'm so scared now cos i don't know if there lungs will be fully developed or not.. and i was so hoping for a normal delivery because i didn't want to be laid up in bed for 2 weeks. anyway thats all for now and congrats to all the girls that has had there babys already and gd luck to the dec and jan mums!!!!

There is actually a reason why I have to have them early and that reason is that there is a problem with the twins they both have water on the brain which I have also... I was born at 35 weeks by c-section and I had an operation after I was born. And the twins will have an operation after they are born so that is why i'm having them at 35 wks.
Its not defnitely hereditary but it can be and in my case it is... Draining water on the brain at one time is not the case.. They have to put a shunt in the brain and then a tube that leads to the stomach so that water is drained naturally... The shunt and tube is kept in for their whole lives and will be changed when they are between 6-10 depending on how tall they are.
If I have them any later the pressure from the water on their brains could cause fatal damage. So that is why they are being born at 35 weeks when their lungs are matured enough. For them to be able to be operated on.

hey i had my identical twin boys on october 28 at 34w 1 day by c-section. if you are booked in for a c-section by your doctor they will most likely give you 2 steriod shots, one at 24 hours before your operation and one 12 hours before. thats what i had and my litlle one come out screaming and breathing just fine. good luck and congrats on your girls :D

I had twins by c-section 2 months ago and you probably won't be laid up for a full 2 weeks. You'll still hurt when you come home and you should take it easy, but if you keep up on your pain meds you should do ok. Please remember to take the full dose on time, I let mine run out and the pain can catch up to you. As long as I took my pills on time I was ok. I healed alot faster then i thought I would. By the 3rd week I was feeling pretty much normal. Also, if you have someone to help you with the babies at he beginning you'll heal easier. Good luck!
