Why is it that everyother column with posts in it have girls typing, "keep your legs closed" and "don't open up your legs". It takes two people to have sex. A guy is held accountable too for getting a girl pregnant as well. We all have sex sooner or later in our lives so whats up with keeping our legs opened or closed. Teen pregnancy is common and we all have questions in life, stop being so mean to those who ask questions. Those who ask will never learn. Also, in the 1920s, teens were having babies and it was ok in society. What happens when people over 45 are getting pregnant and can't take their children to the park to play because they are too tired or their back hurts? Why aren't people complaining about them. Did you know...doctors consider you at risk when your over 35 and pregnant...it's better having healthy babies then babies who have disorders. No offense to the women who waited so long maybe to make sure having a baby was best for them at that age. I'm just saying all of our timelines are different and thats what makes this world unique. Opinions are welcome but what happened to the when you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all?

You're right, ppl are so rude, this is a teen pregnancy forum, and it's here to supply young girls with answers and advice w/out them being embarassed. If you don't like or if you're going to be rude, don't come to this forum.

?? - June 27th, 2005 11:44 PM

Why didn't they make birth control pills for guys before women if they think with their penis so much?

hey - June 27th, 2005 11:59 PM

PPL NEED TO NOT BE MEAN! GEEZ! God BLess Yu alL!

Jbear - June 28th, 2005 4:46 AM

The reason that people are always telling the girls to keep their legs closed, and not mentioning the guy is that the girl is the one whose life will be most affected by pregnancy. The guy might have to pay her a couple hundred dollars a month for 18 years, but it's the girl who will have to quit going to school, possibly go on welfare, probably live with her parents for years to come...As far as older people being high risk pregnancies, young teens whose bodies are still growing are equally at risk. I should know, I saw plenty of them in the waiting room at the high-risk ob clinic I used for my last pregnancy. Some of those little girls didn't even have breasts yet, but their bellies were bigger than mine. I took my teen sister with me once, so she could see that girls her age could get pregnant, and know she should be careful.

ashley - June 28th, 2005 5:05 AM

Okay first of all- I do agree that it takes two to tango and make a baby. But instead of pointing fingers we need to ask ourselves what young people are being taught now a days that they dont think about waiting until they find someone they love to have sex. Or at least for gods sake learn to take 2 seconds and use a condom. True most teenage boys wont support their children and single teen moms will have difficulty raising children on their own. However, a single teen mom wouldnt be in that position had she made her boyfriend wear a condom. If your going to have sex when your young, at least have safe sex. otherwise, you deserve the difficulties a baby brings.

Ugh... - June 28th, 2005 11:17 AM

Ok, no matter what you people say, this IS a TEEN PREGNANCY forum... so if these teens are having sex or are pregnant, there is nothing you can do about it. The girls on here are already doing and and just need help or advice so instead of making them feel bad or embarassed about the choices they have ALREADY MADE, you might want to just help them so they can START making better choices now!!!!

Angelina - June 28th, 2005 2:41 PM

Im wondering why these "grown women" are on here telling us to keep our legs closed if WE ALREADY ARE PREGNANT?!?WTF is up with that? The damage s done and we are not on here to argue with grown adults so if you dont like what we type then just go to another forum.Maybe you women should grow up and stop acting our ages while we are the ones acting like we have some sense.

To Angelina - June 28th, 2005 7:58 PM

Actually over half of these teens on this website don't know if they are pregnant and if they are, hardly ever come back. Us "grown women" probably are saying to the teens to not have sex unless you are on birth control, preferrably pills and a condom when you have sex. Most of the teens on here are either posting stupid things like "can I get pregnant if he comes in my mouth" or "can I get pregnant if he jacked off and I was on my period and he washed his hands and he fingered me." Most of the teens on this site don't even know when you are able to get get pregnant and don't understand the ovulation and menstrual periods. And Angelina, I do not think that you have any sense. Being 17 years old with a child and one on the way is not cool, regardless of whether or not you are with the father. If you are on state welfare for your two kids, that is irresponsible. I bet that your boyfriend does not pay for your medical visits or your child's doctor visits. I bet that you will be able to have your child for free, thanks to taxpayers. I bet your first one was free. And if it wasn't, how did you come up with 20% of $3,000 or so when you were 15-16 years old? I bet you won't get married to the father because you won't get as much welfare. If he's the father of both your kids why won't you get married? Waiting for the right time? I bet also within the next three years, you will be pregnant again, and taxpayers will be paying for another one of your children because you could not keep your legs closed.

annabelle - June 28th, 2005 9:02 PM

well i kind of agree with angelina too, the damage has been done, they can't go back now. We're not here to judge. Though i do think that the girls who end up not pregnant should be advised in a NICE way to go on the pill or w/e. THis forum is for teen pregnancy.. wat do u expect?

Jbear - June 29th, 2005 1:52 AM

I see lots of posts on this forum from girls asking if they can become pregnant from a variety of activities. I never suggest to those girls that they abstain, because if they're looking it up, then they're probably going to do it. But I will suggest birth control to anyone who will listen. In my opinion, the mothers of these girls should give them some basic information and the option to get birth control. I know I'll be talking to my daughter about those things when she's old enough. I told both of my younger sisters all the useful stuff about sex that they needed to know, because we sure didn't learn any of it at school.

sex education - June 29th, 2005 8:12 AM

People say that sex education should be taught at school and I dont know where you guys went to school but in my area you are taught sex education from the 5th grade. and have it every single year til you graduate. They teach you about everything but some girls just dont listen.
