How soon can a blood test detect the preganancy hormone? Lets say some cum got on my hand, not much, how long will it live in my hand for? To anyone out there, please think twice before you do anything. Remember condoms, spermicide and stay away from the fertile window. God Bless ALL!!!

A qualitative blood test costs $65 and can detect hCG about the same time as a urine test, but without the variable of urine concentration - a week after missing a period is a good time to test. A quantitative blood test costs $125 and would be accurate at the time of the missed period.

My doctors always told me a blood test detects pregnancy quite a bit before a urine test. I would call your doctor and ask.
