Its not uncommon to not be able to hear the heartbeat before 12 weeks. Combine that with the fact that your uterus is tilted backwards, you'll probably have to wait a few more weeks before being able to hear it.

I was about 13-14 weeks when I heard the heartbeat...my doctor tried when I was almost 11 weeks and also couldn't find one. I wasn nervous about it all and DH was to so he was questioning the doctor and she said it is normal. Everything turned out fine for us in the end. But it isn't uncommon to not hear the heart beat...and we are now 25 weeks

Dont worry to much... With my daughter they would hear her heatbeat one week and then not the next.... But let us know what goes on!!!!!!!

yah sry to hear that hunni the first time i listened to the heartbeat i was 14 weeks well they thought but was only 13 weeks. that was my frist appt. :] give it a couple weeks i cant imagine not hearing it tho. they did a vaginal ultrasoudn 3 days later & u could hear the heart like you had your ear to it that was amazing be calm everything will be okay.
