Period And Breastfeeding

ok so Heidi is now 7 weeks old and im still breastfeeding, i,ve just stopped spotting about 1-2weeks ago from pp bleeding.....well yesterday i had quite alot of blood in my pants but it was literally broen and sticky looking like discharge but there was a large amount (sorry way tmi) is this a period all ready? it been continuing since last night but a bit more blood looking, i also started the mini pill last wednesday which i read can cause no period or odd spotting, is it the pill? is it even normal to get a period while bf?

Well, as far as i know its just old blood thats just making its way out. After a period sometimes your discharge isnt completely white and just trying to dispell everything. So what i would suggest is just to wear pads for something that just happens to make its way through. You just need to wait it out really. =) You can get a period with breastfeeding, it just depends on the person =)

Your pp bleeding can start and stop sometimes. It may not be over. Then again, the mini pill causing spotting is likely too. As for me, my pp bleeding stopped at 8 weeks and my period came at 9 weeks... even though I was exclusively breastfeeding. A way you can tell if it's a period is if it's super creepy regular. My periods when breastfeeding were regular down to the hour, they didn't get all funky until my milk dried up.

ok thanks guys, see i wasn,t sure if it was still pp bleeding stopping and starting i mean i,ve wore pads constantly since giving birth as it hasn't completly stopped apart from the odd day, but then i thought maybe its a period but with breast feeding and being on the mini pill with is like prostrogen or however you spell it only pill i think it stops you ovulating im not sure but then bf is unlikley to ovulate isnt it? im a bot confused really lol! i supose all i can do is wait it out until next month........
