I'm 15 years old and I have been on birth control for two years. I'm in a steady relationship and have been for 6 months. Me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex on occasion, and I have never had a problem. I know this is irresponsible but that isn't the issue. I was due to have my period this Tuesday (after ending my package the following Sunday) but I didn't see it until Thursday, which is odd because I'm never late. I only bled once, a dollop the size of a quarter. I haven't experienced any bleeding since. Is this a sign I could be pregnant? Could it have been spotting? I'm supposed to start on a new package of birth control tomorrow and I'm afraid to do so if I may be pregnant. What should I do?

Just go get a test done, simple as that.

I'm the one that wrote the question. It isn't as easy as just getting a test done with me. My mother holds my health card, so I can't go to a clinic. Our health system sucks and it takes 3 weeks to get an appointment if you are lucky enough to have a doctor and I want to get a bit more information before I spend money on a home test. I also need to know to help form a decision as to whether it is risky to take my pill tomorrow.

Don't take your pills tomorrow. Just take a home pregnancy test. You need to find out if you are for sure and soon. You shouldn't leave it too long. If you arepregnant you need 2 get checked out and see if everything is ok and if you are tell your mum asap! xxx

Samantha- What you saw might have been implantation bleeding. You should get a home pregnancy test. If you can't get to a pharmacy then perhaps there's a clinic near you that has free ones, or ask your school nurse.
