I am just wondering if anyone could let me know about how long it takes to go into true labor with me being 2 centimeters and my cervix 70% softened. My due date is exactly one week away and I don't know how much longer I can wait. LOL!!!

Well, you can be 70% effaced and 2 cm. dialated at week 34 and not deliver until postterm. So, it really means nothing. True labour will come in the form of contractions that grow in frequency and intensity, which will have an impact on your cervix causing it to dialate. Many women are 2 cm. dialated even earlier than 39 weeks. I think you have to wait and see. Your baby will come when it wants. Good Luck!
