Just wondering what you all have decided. I've never had the flu shot, and I don't get the flu. Then I hear of people that get the shot and get sick. I asked my OB and he said they recommend it, but they obviously can't force it. I've also read that the flu shot is a category c and I think i'd rather stay away from it. What do you ladies think?

I thought Pregnant women can't get the flu shot? I get the flu often (every year) but I am not able to get the shot as I am allergic to Egg whites and eggs are used in the formula. I was also told by a doctor it isn't the same flu shot every year to year. They are predicting what strain is going to be the worst and they make the vaccine for that strain.

So I am not getting the flu shot. Do some research and do what you feel is best.

Im not... my mother is a nurse and gives me hec all the time about it... this fall with the H1N1 threat we are all going to take a little more vit C and B... kids can take cold fx or echinechea (sp) ... maybe eat more greens to help our immune systems...theres all kinds of things in those shots, and like someone else said, they GUESS on which one to give each year.
