Decrease In BH Contractions Since Membrane Stripping

Hi girls,
Me again, I have noticed a decrease to almost no BH contractions for the last 2 days since the Dr. did the cervical stretching. I was getting lots before usually a few an hour now today i've only had a few all day. A friend of mine who has had 4 children said she noticed that right before going into labor. Maybe my body is gearing up for it? Who knows, just wondering if any of you have had this experience. I am 37 weeks along.

It could be that the stripping helped move the baby down some and the uterus is getting ready for the big show? I don't know much about this one...

I had the same experience. I was getting a lot of activity, but once they stripped my membranes my bh's tapered off! It made me so mad. I felt like it was doing the opposite of what it was supposed to.

I've got another doc appt. today. Maybe this "stripping" will kick things up a few notches! I am feeling so anxious about labor that I just want to get it done now!
