I posted this once before regarding what types of bottles to purchase for the newborn. I know alot of you said Avent???? Are these with or with out plastic liners? Sorry, I have no clue!!

Without. Playtex is the one with the drop in liners. Playtex also makes the VentAire line. Know what you should do? Take a wish-list trip. Just go to Wal-Mart, Target or Babies R US and see what they have without feeling the need to purchase. See what catches your eye, what you may or may not like. Do it for everything - bottles, pacifiers, drying racks, breast pumps, diaper pails, etc.... Make a list with comments, then you can spend time researching things online and asking questions here before you decide what you want to buy. I found it helped me out a lot!

They don't have liners, they do have reusable and disposable, I got a set w/ both as a gift from my step-sister.

I personally used Avent with my daughter and she had no problems with it. I started the bottle at 5 weeks and she would feed once a night with the bottle that I pumped. Make sure you get the right nipples for the right stage, but a lot of other moms said to get different kinds and then experiment because each baby is different. That to me makes a lot of sense. I am still going to try with the AVent with my son and hopefully it will be fine with him, if not I'll try some other ones. I'm not buying them now though because we already have the Avent ones and I'll start with that and see.

This is my first time too and i'm still confused as to what to buy. I've gone to the store...checked everything out..and its all still too much for me. Would the drop in liners be better to buy? Or would it end up being pricier since you'd have to buy the refills all the time? And the VentAire..wouldn't that be good to prevent them from getting gas bubbles?? Oh the options.... times like these I need my mommy!! hahaaa...
