babyblue2 - April 16th, 2009 7:44 AM

I will be 26 weeks this weekend... so I am a little early... Hopefully we can get a few more July mommies to post!

mommylovesyou - April 16th, 2009 9:24 AM

ill be 29 weeks this weekend .. time is flying by SO fast! i got my BFP around THREE weeks & the first 2 trimesters were dragging so slowly. now its like she's going to be here before i know it & im going to be rushing to get everything done in time lol

babyblue2 - April 16th, 2009 10:11 AM

I know what you mean! I was sick as a dog for the first 18 weeks, so the time absolutely dragged! Now that I am feeling mostly fine, and all the stresses from my quad screen are behind me... the time is starting to move! LOL... its a little bittersweet though, since I know that this is the last time I plan on being pregnant. When my little guy kicks, I love it, but at the same time, am sad that I won't feel this again. Then I tell myself... I am just gettin too old for this anyway! LOL. I still have sooo much to do before the baby. DH and I have a week off in May... so hopefully I can get the baby's stuff out and ready to go.

IsabellasMommy - April 16th, 2009 3:49 PM

I'm behind all of you...I'm only 25 weeks. I do agree that the first 2 trimesters took forever and it seems like our babys will be here soon. I actually knew that I was pregnant before the test even showed positive...I think I'm so in tune with my body that I know at the moment of conception. LOL My doctor told me that the baby was conceived around Oct 30 and my period was due Nov 3...so when I was late even then, I knew! I really wish that July was here. I wish that I could take medicine for this cold. I've been getting sick a lot lately and I'm not sure if it's from the cold or from the baby kicking my stomach. I've been trying to drink lots of water and tea just to stay hydrated, but it's hard because then I have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes. My lungs hurt from coughing, it feels like I have 50 pounds sitting on my chest, I know that the baby is pushing up into everything and that's why I'm having a little bit of trouble breathing, but it also feels like something is pushing down as well. We are supposed to stay home all weekend, so I'm hoping we'll be able to get the babys room all cleaned up and ready for her stuff. My aunt and uncle came yesterday to look at our house to see if they wanted to buy it. They will know on Monday how much they can get a loan for. So, hopefully in a few weeks we'll be moving. It's going to be hard, but I think we'll be able to do this. It will be nice because I'll be able to go through everything as we unpack and get rid of the junk that we don't need.

babyblue2 - April 17th, 2009 7:42 AM

Do you already have a place lined up if you sell your house?? That would be really hard... moving while preggers. Its bad enough when you aren't!

Better watch how much tea you drink... its a diuretic... which means its depleting your level of hydration AND adding your bathroom breaks!

My little guy seems to like using my bladder and cervix as a trampoline! So I have the opposite problem. He is sitting so low, that sometimes I have a hard time sitting because I feel like I am sitting ON him! My belly is very low too, again making it hard to sit comfortably. Sigh... July will be here soon enough though. I will feel better after my week off in May when I will get all his stuff together. I don't have a nursery to put together... just a matter of washing up all the clothing, finding place for it, and getting the bassinette up from the basement and cleaned up. He will be sharing a room with us for the first while, then bunking with his brother. I bought a large playpen from my neighbour for him to sleep in. I don't think a crib would quite fit in the room. Besides... when my DD outgrows her crib, he can have it. We only have a 3 bedroom house, so everyone has to double up! I think my biggest problem will be rearranging the closet and drawer space so that everyone has some storage.

mommylovesyou - April 17th, 2009 11:43 AM

babyblue2 - i know exactly how you feel! with DS i carried very high so i felt like i couldnt breathe because he was in my ribs - i was lucky i could wear all my old pants & jeans because they went right under my belly. but with my lil girl shes sitting so low NOTHING fits comfortably & i have to open my legs when im sitting to give my belly room. she never stops moving & she is ALWAYS on my bladder so even if i dont have to go bad, once she turns over on my bladder i cant hold it i need to go to the bathroom so bad! i cant wait til july!

babyblue2 - April 17th, 2009 12:53 PM

LOL... tell me about it!! My bladder is in overdrive today. I used to be able to make it every 2-3 hours... today... I'm lucky to get through a full hour! And yes... have to sit with my legs apart too... sooo unladylike!! LOL... pregnancy takes away ALL dignity!

I only carried high with my first. She was constantly caught in my ribs. And she was a kicker too! I'm sure I suffered through some bruised ribs with her. The others have been more gentle and I have carried them much lower. The rib kicking was far worse to deal with though.

IsabellasMommy - April 19th, 2009 10:52 PM

We have looked at a place, but I'm not sure if we're going to try to get it. I'm still sick. My doctor did give me an antibiotic, and I seem to be a little better, but I still have the horrible cough. Can you take a cough medicine if you're taking z-pak? I'm going to call a pharmacy in the morning and find out. It's really rough because when I do cough, I end up peeing myself a little bit. LOL My chest and back hurt from coughing so much. I sleep sitting up, what little sleep I do get. All that I do is cough.

I carried low with my first daughter and am carrying low with this one as well. Is there a way to tell already if the baby is breech or head down? I know the baby will flip more before the birth, but I was just wondering if you can tell yet. I can't tell if she's kicking low or if her little but is up.

babyblue2 - April 21st, 2009 7:38 AM

I have no idea! My little guy seems to kick at several places at once. I think he is transverse right now... but there is still loads of time for him to get in position. The only way I used to know when the baby flipped, is when they used to kick me in the ribs... no mistaking that!!

mommylovesyou - April 21st, 2009 11:19 AM

im the same way i cant tell what position she is in! she is SO low which results in the pelvic pain that i have when i walk &it feels like im a wishbone & someone is trying to snap me in half =( sometimes i think she is head down because i get kicked pretty high up mostly on my right side alot but then i can feel the little flutters really really low like in my cervix that bothers my bladder so i have no idea if maybe those are her hands??? it confuses me!

IsabellasMommy - April 22nd, 2009 12:12 AM

I knew that my daughter was breech because I could feel her head under my ribs and knew that it was her head because it was so hard. Now I'm not sure because I'm only 26 weeks and this baby is SOOOO low, that it feels like she's dropped already but I'm just guessing with that since my first never dropped at all. I have been having some pains on my left side really low which I have just said was more ligament pain and last night my stomach felt so hard, like it was contracting, but it didn't hurt...it was only like 2 or 3 times that it happened, so I wasn't worried about it. I do have a question for you ladies though...it is a little embarassing though. With my first pregnancy, I remember this happening, but not until the last month of my pregnancy...I have noticed that at least 3 nights out of the week I wake up in the middle of the night and I'm wet, like I've peed myself or had a really watery discharge. I know that it isn't sweat, but I'm not sure if it's pee or discharge or what. Have you ladies dealt with this before?

babyblue2 - April 22nd, 2009 7:30 AM

Can't recall ever having that happen to me... sorry. Did you ask your doc about it last preg?? I know your discharge gets worse as the pregnancy progresses...

Going for my first prenatal massage today! Soooo looking forward to that! My back has been aching on a steady basis now. If I sit or stand for too long, I get pain. I try to walk around the office a bit (usually bathroom breaks!!), but I feel silly going walkabout too often. When I do my workouts, I also try to do some back exercices, which seems to help a little. I am hoping this does not progress into sciatica too. I never had any issues with my other pg. Just gettin too old for this!!! LOL

babyblue2 - April 23rd, 2009 11:12 AM

Well... just back from doing my glucose test. Think it went well. I was a little nauseated drinking that disgusting soda at 9am, but at least I didn't seem to have a reaction to it. Baby got a buzz from it though! He seemed to be jumping all over the place! He seems to be just under my ribs the past couple of days. I guess I will find out soon enough if everything is ok. I go for my Rhogam next week, and then I am done! Just doc appointments. The next time (hopefully) that I will see the inside of a hospital, is when I go into labour.

Went for my massage last night and it was nice! She was a little firm with me and I had to tell her to be more gentle a couple of times (especially when she hit a nice knot on my right shoulder), but I felt really good afterward. Gonna make another appointment in a couple of weeks, and then I am gonna try and go every week.

IsabellasMommy - April 23rd, 2009 10:35 PM

I didn't ask my doc at last appointment because it had only happened one time before then, but I go back next thursday and I'll ask her then about it. My back started hurting a couple of days ago and hasn't stopped yet, I can't get comfortable at all, might ask my boyfriend to give me a little massage when he gets home from work tonight.

I get my rhogam shot and my glucose testing done the same day...I'm just glad it's all at one time basically. I go on Wednesday for my other u/s and I can't wait to see the baby but I'm really not looking forward to laying on that stupid little bed for that long.

Glad to hear the massage went so well. I hope they all go as well as this one did. I still can't believe that it's almost May already. I know the first two trimesters have taken forever for me and I'm hoping the last one goes a little quicker. We're going shopping tomorrow for more baby stuff, since we don't have a carseat yet and we don't have a lot of baby clothes (just a few outfits and a couple of white onesies) and I want extras because I always lose something.

mommylovesyou - April 25th, 2009 11:07 PM

hi ladies! hope you're all doing well. i have a question - have any of you noticed that as more time passes you can still feel the baby kicking & rolling around intensely from the inside but not so much from the outside anymore??? & another question - i found i had a tick on my leg today & immediately killed it with rubbing alcohol & pulled the whole thing off. i know ill have to talk to my dr to see if she wants to do yet another round of bloodwork but have any of you experienced or at least heard of problems later in pregnancy after a tick bite???

babyblue2 - April 26th, 2009 11:10 AM

Good morning everyone! Isabellasmommy hope you had fun shopping. I have my Rhogam on Wednesday. Couldn't do both at the same time, because they needed to check my levels before giving me another shot. Basically they just checked them at the same time as the levels for the glucose screen. (I had a Rhogam shot at 18 weeks when I had my amnio).

mommylovesyou - sorry... can't help you. Have not been in your situation before. How did you end up with a tick?

So I had my first ever 3d-4d ultrasound yesterday! Was really cool. Got to see what my little guy actually looks like! He was good too. Let us see his face and all his bits, before he decided to become camera shy and just curled up in a tight ball and covered his face with EVERYTHING! LOL... at one point he was sucking his thumb, and at another, he had his legs slung over his shoulder! LOL... really really great experience! My DH was sooooo amazed!
