Good morning everyone! Isabellasmommy hope you had fun shopping. I have my Rhogam on Wednesday. Couldn't do both at the same time, because they needed to check my levels before giving me another shot. Basically they just checked them at the same time as the levels for the glucose screen. (I had a Rhogam shot at 18 weeks when I had my amnio).

mommylovesyou - sorry... can't help you. Have not been in your situation before. How did you end up with a tick?

So I had my first ever 3d-4d ultrasound yesterday! Was really cool. Got to see what my little guy actually looks like! He was good too. Let us see his face and all his bits, before he decided to become camera shy and just curled up in a tight ball and covered his face with EVERYTHING! LOL... at one point he was sucking his thumb, and at another, he had his legs slung over his shoulder! LOL... really really great experience! My DH was sooooo amazed!

Shopping was ok, of course my boyfriends nephew had to go with us and he's a bigger baby than a baby is. He's almost 15 by the way. He was mad because we wouldn't buy him a video game or dvd, even though his mom said no to the video games because he doesn't listen to her when she says to stop playing them and I straight up told him, 'if you don't listen to your mom when she asks you to do something, I'll never buy you anything'. He got mad at me for it, but my boyfriend backed me up and told his sister about it and she was like "good, I'm glad she told him that". LOL Why buy him something when he doesn't listen to anybody? I'm not being mean about it, because I'm the same way with Isabella and will be with Quinn and any other children I might have.

Mommylovesyou, I've never gotten a tick bite while pregnant. Sorry.

Woke up today with really sore hips.... ugh! Had a hard time walking the the bathroom. Even after a hot shower, they still felt like I had run a marathon the day before. I think it took at least an hour this morning to loosen them up. I hate to think what its gonna be like further on. They didn't start getting sore until closer to the end with my last pg. :(

mommylovesyou - April 27th, 2009 4:10 PM

hi ladies! has anyone been experiencing braxton hicks really bad lately?! mine havent been painful just really uncomfortable up until now. i had a bad yeast infection & possible UTI so bf & i havent done a thing for about a week & a half until last night & about half hour afterwards i had really painful braxton hicks that lasted about 30 seconds & came rapidly like every 2-3 minutes & this went on for about 20 mins. they got so bad that i was scared it may have been the real thing. should i call my doctor???? i feel like a pain everytime i call :(

IsabellasMommy - April 27th, 2009 7:04 PM

I haven't had any braxton hicks yet...unless they are really light and I just think it's baby moving around. I know that after you do stuff, that sometimes you will have braxton hicks afterward, it's normal unless it continues for a long period of time. I get it sometimes and my bf is like "thats it, we aren't doing it anymore". I would say though that if it continues today to call your doctor.

My hip has been hurting again and I'm so tired of the emotional rollercoaster that I've been on. I have cried all day today for no reason except to cry.

babyblue2 - April 28th, 2009 8:32 AM

I have been having BH for a couple of months now. They are definitely getting stronger too. Before I could just barely feel a little tightening, and now, they can get down right uncomfortable. They are not painful at all though, and nowhere near regular... maybe a few times a day. I would definitely ask your doc about what you are having though. To me, it does not sound like your should be getting them for 20 minutes at a time. I would hold off on any more 'lovin' til you talk to your doc... but at the same time, I wouldn't get worried about it either.

The weather here is making my hips and other joints hurt more than they need to be. After a beautiful day yesterday, its back to rain and cold today... ugh! Gives me a headache too.

Yup... the emotional thing is starting to wear thin for me too. Yesterday it seems everyone was getting on my nerves! LOL... lost it on my cel phone provider because of some errors on my bill... got upset at DH for something silly... good thing my co-workers really have no reason to complain to me about anything! Sigh... its almost over! Hopefully the next 3 months go by quickly!

So my mom went out and bought the double stroller I wanted. Now I just have to get a new carseat for DD2 (she is still in the infant carrier), so I can 'promote' her. I think I have enough clothing to get by for the first little while... not that I plan to stop picking things up as I see them. DH and I have a week off in May, and thats when I plan to get everything ready for the baby. I have even started packing my hospital bag! I just like to do stuff, so that I feel somewhat organised!

mommylovesyou - April 28th, 2009 3:55 PM

well im even more confused than ever! i had those BH the other night & they've gone back to normal. just the tightening every once in awhile. but last night while i was rolling over in bed i felt & heard a nasty pop coming from my bones down there. didnt hurt just gave me the creeps & i dont know if thats a good thing or not! & then this morning when i used the bathroom before my shower i wiped & had white with some yellow mucous discharge & it took two full wipes to get rid of it all. sounds like some of my plug? & THEN all day today ive had an aching back & cant sit comfortably. im miserable! =(

IsabellasMommy - April 28th, 2009 5:48 PM

I never lost my mucus plug with my first pregnancy, but from what others have said, it sounds like it could be part of it. I could call the doc and let them know about it, especially since you've been having BHs for a while. I'm really glad that you brought up mucus plugs because the other day when I went to the bathroom and my urine was so dark...like a brownish color, almost like I was too dehydrated when I know that I drank about 2 gallons of water that day...and not only was it a brownish yellowish color, it also looked like it had a little bit of red in it. There wasn't anything when I wiped, which is why I just thought maybe I was a little dehydrated since it was so hot here that day. But after that, my back has been killing me and I did start having some light BH yesterday morning, but it was random yesterday...a little in the morning and some last night, but nothing steady. I'm going to try to wait until my appointment with my doc, I go on Friday to see her, just hoping things go good since I've been swelling so bad.

mommylovesyou - April 28th, 2009 6:14 PM

same here i never lost my plug with DS but then again i dont think i paid as much attention with the first one. the dark urine could be UTI even though you've been drinking alot of water? i heard you may not even know you have a UTI it could be painless for some. id ask your doctor about it. im trying to hold off until my appointment on the 13th but i keep seeing a little bit of mucousy drops in the toilet everytime i go. we'll see how the next few days go

mommylovesyou - April 28th, 2009 6:18 PM

by the way do any of you know how to change ur email address here??? i made a new email because my other got so much spam & i want to change it here so all my notifications get sent to my new email .. & i cant find how to do it!

IsabellasMommy - April 28th, 2009 10:12 PM

I have no idea how to change it. For some reason mine changed itself and I get the notices at my old email address instead of my new one...when I was getting the notices at the new one. It's crazy!!!! You could even just call your doctor and let them know that you think you're losing your plug, especially since it wasn't just that one time.

mommylovesyou - April 29th, 2009 10:24 AM

im going to call my doctor today. i also have soreness under my ribs & on my lower tummy a little more towards the right than the middle but its a sore spot so it hurts me to lean on it. im just paranoid!

IsabellasMommy - April 29th, 2009 7:15 PM

Mommylovesyou, what did your doctor say?

Babyblue2, how are you doing?

I went to my U/S today and things went good. I had to change my doctors appoitnment to Friday, but that means I get to relax tomorrow instead of rushing around to get things done before BF goes to work. The baby is in fact breech, but she has her feet all of the way up by her face. It was so cute because we were trying to get the 3d pictures done and she kept hiding her face behind her arms and legs. She is estimated to weigh about 2.4 pounds already, she has long legs and big feet. Her legs measured 13cm and her feet measured 2.5cm....I think that was the measurements anyway. I will find out on Friday about the placenta...just hoping it moved up.

mommylovesyou - April 29th, 2009 7:27 PM

luckily i got in to see my dr today. she said my cervix was nice & long & that everything looked good. she told me contractions like BH (which ive had) can cause pieces of the plug to fall out but that i look good. she also gave me a script for a sono which i have a question about. she wrote "OB follow up on cx length" does this mean it will be a transvaginal ultrasound? or a regular abdominal one? all i want to know is will i get to see my little girl! LOL

IsabellasMommy - April 29th, 2009 11:53 PM

I'm glad that your doctor said that everything looked good. As far as I know, they can check the cx length with a regular u/s. I'm sure the tech will let you see the baby, if nothing else, you could ask for a quick peek. I don't know of any tech that would deny a mommy a quick look at her baby. I've had a few BH tonight and my hip and back are killing me again. I'm swollen again tonight and I have a headache. I just feel horrible tonight. I wanted to relax in the tub so my hip and back would stop hurting, but I have to wait like 2 more hours because my BF doesn't get home till then and I'm afraid if I get in the tub I won't be able to get out of it.

babyblue2 - April 30th, 2009 8:31 AM

I am pretty sure they dont do transvaginal u/s at this point in your preg. They will be able to see your cervix with the normal one (I had this done with DS1). Glad that you got things cleared up and that everything is fine though!

IsabellasMommy - glad your u/s went good as well. At least you know that whether she stays breach or not, you are already scheduled for your CS, so it wont be an issue. That pretty much goes for your placenta too. A low lying placenta is only bad if you are giving birth vaginally. So I'm sure you can relax. My back and hips haven't been too bad this past few days, but my head has been pounding and my tummy feels soooo heavy (like I have eaten too much). Stupid weather! Whenever it changes, the change in pressure gets my head goin. And our weather has been back and forth lately. Ugh!

So last night I got my Rhogam shot. The nurse was not very gentle about it! When she jabbed my hip, I almost jumped across the table I was leaning over! The muscle was then tender for the rest of the evening.

Tomorrow I have to take DD2 for her 18 month shots... not looking forward to that either. Will be interested to see how much she weighs though. My neice is four and feels as though she weighs about the same (she is tiny for her age though).
