I went through a huge growth spurt with my DD too... but it was mostly water weight from the hot, humid weather. Could that be the reason for you? So why do you think you are further along than the docs think? Are your dates different?

I am home in bed today. ALL of us are sick with a bad cold and cough. I feel so run down and its making my back hurt even more. I finally got my car seat for DD this weekend tho. Now I can wash the infant carrier and I am totally set! WooHoo! I just have to put together my labour bag and I am ready (it will contain snacks, so I don't want to do that part too early). Hopefully the next 8 weeks will go by fast. Anyway... back to bed for me!

Yeah, it could be that it was cooler weather and then got hot and humid overnight. There is a 3 weeks difference in my dates and the doctors. For my dates, I'm almost 35 weeks, but according to the doctors I'm almost 32 weeks. They said I didn't ovulate until like 3 days before my period was due, but I KNOW that I ovulated earlier than that. I was doing my temping first thing in the morning, so I know that I ovulated earlier than they think. I'm just hoping that things go ok the next few weeks for me. My dad is in the hospital and things are going well for him at all, of course the doctors here aren't telling us anything really, so we have more questions than answers. I haven't been up to see him yet, but I'm going tonight with my mom and sister, so that one of them can watch my daughter while the other walks into his room with me. I hate taking her up to the hospital, but I have no other choice.

I'm glad to hear that you got your car seat for your daughter and that you'll be able to clean up the infant carrier. I don't have my bag packed at all, I did buy some of the little travel size things to put in there so that I'm not packing regular sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner and even a bar of soap. I know the hospital will give me a toothbrush and toothpaste, but I am still taking my own (I just got them from the dentist...LOL) I need to pack a change of clothes and some snacks. I'm having a repeat c-section, but hey, I know that they will only give me broth for a while afterward, this way I'll be able to sneak snacks...LOL I do have the diaper bag almost packed for going home, I just don't know what size diapers to put in there...I do have some 'sample' newborn diapers in there, but no size 1s. I guess I will have to wait until closer to my due date so that I will have a better idea of how big the baby really is. I'm off to the hospital to see my dad. Hoping that the next few weeks go by quickly.

hey Ladies, i haven't been on in a long time! How is everyone??

I'm doing pretty well. I'm 32 weeks 3 days. I have been feeling great until the last couple days. Some neighbor dogs were loose and ran up to the fence in my back yard and tried to jump the fence to attack my dogs. This huge rottweiler almost made it over the fence a few times so i was freaking out. I ran to grab my dogs and pull them in the house. I got them in and I and they were fine but a little while later I noticed that my pubic bone was really REALLY sore. It has been since. It has gotten a little better, but it kills to put pants on or sit in the car or get into the car.... I figure this is all just my pelvis separating and will just have to deal with it and try to take it easy so it doesn't get worse. Anyhow, just the past couple days I have started to feel more pressure on my cervix and perineum. I'm sure it's the baby's increasing weight pushing down, and she is in head down position. I guess I just want to be sure that my cervix is not going to start dialating or efacing just yet. I wouldn't mind if this process started just a couple weeks from now since it can take a few weeks.... anyone else had this?

Thanks!

babyblue2 - June 3rd, 2009 11:56 AM

IsabellasMommy - wouldn't it be nice for you if you actually were 35 weeks along! I have bought a bunch of the sample size toiletries as well to put in my hospital bag. I actually still had a bunch of them from when I gave birth to DD. I bought a pack of newborn diapers to bring with me (just in case... sometimes they provide a few to start you off with), but I also have a pack of size 1's at home. I have been stocking up on diapers/wipes/Diaper Genie Refills when they go on sale, so that I am not stuck with the huge expense when I am on mat leave. I don't like to buy too many NB diapers, since the baby grows out of them so quick.

Andesue - Know what you mean about the pressure. My lil man is sitting really low and sometimes the pressure really starts to hurt. Almost feels like he is forcing his way out! Its hard to sit and hard to drive! The BH are also getting really strong. Sigh... I am so ready for July to be here!! Next month!!! I go for my next OB appointment next week. Hopefully he is still head down... at least that will be one less thing to worry about.

hello everyone im michelle and im 34 weeks does anyone feel like there losing ther minds yet cuz im ready to have my baby already

babyblue2 - June 6th, 2009 11:47 AM

Hi Michelle... I am 33 weeks and know what you mean. I love being preg, but its starting to get old! LOL... This will be my last baby, so I am a little sad... but at the same time, I am anxious to meet my little man! Do you know what you are having? Is this your first?

IsabellasMommy - June 6th, 2009 4:02 PM

Hi Michelle, welcome to the board. I'm 32 weeks and am so ready for it to be July. I'm so stressed at the moment, I could be stressed for every pregnant woman in the world and still have extra stress for the men as well. LOL

Thursday was a horrible, hectic day. I was at the hospital all day, my dad wasn't doing so well and then I had my doctors appointment and she ended up sending me to have a NST done (which was horrible because the baby refused to move even after they gave me juice...lol). I had to have a urinalsys done because the doctor thought I might have an infection...but nope, there was no infection and everything is ok with the baby. So I spent 3 hours in L&D for nothing! I was really upset about it because they had taken my dad off of his ventilator and didn't know how long he would continue to breathe without it...turns out he continued for 5 hours and passed away about 9:40 on Thursday night (which is why I haven't been online).

I'm getting ready to go to my boyfriends moms birthday party, and I still have no idea what I'm going to wear...lol I will check in with you ladies later. I hope you each have a good weekend.

babyblue2 - June 8th, 2009 11:49 AM

Isabellasmommy - sorry to hear about your Dad... not easy to go through while preg. My FIL went through bad illness in April and it was rough. Thank goodness he recovered and is doing well, but the stress was not easy to take. Glad your urinalysis came back clean. Hopefully you will start to feel better soon.

I did quite a bit of cleaning this weekend (the whole nesting thing is REALLY starting to kick in). Did I ever begin to feel it last night into this morning. My hips were sooooo SORE I could barely walk! I practically had to crawl to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and when I got back to bed, I couldn't get comfy and was awake for 2 hours trying! Sigh... I am exhausted! Can barely focus on the pile of work sitting on my desk. My next OB appointment is Wed morning, but I know my complaints won't find much sympathy, since I have the same doc as last time. Hopefully my OB will be back from vacation for my next apt.

How is everyone else? 6 weeks to go for me, and it can't go by fast enough. The weather has been chilly and rainy the past 2 days, so I have a feeling that isn't helping my hips. I managed to get my infant carrier washed this weekend. Now I just have to put it back together and put it somewhere safe. I also wiped down and aired out the playpen that I am using for baby to sleep in (since I don't have room or $$ to get another crib). The playpen has all the fancy stuff (bassinette, change area, mobile, lights/sounds/vibrations), so I think it will be fine. Its all set up in my older sons' room. By the time my lil one outgrows it, we will have renovated and he will be moved to a single bed. So that is pretty much it! I am ready (aside from packing my labour bag)!! Woo Hoo!! Now comes the hard part... the wait for July to finally get here!

babyblue2 - June 11th, 2009 11:21 AM

Good news for me! Got my docs note and its officially my last day of work! Wooo Hooo! Thats a huge relief for me, since I am so uncomfortable sitting here at my desk. And its only gonna get worse once the heat kicks in!

IsabellasMommy - June 11th, 2009 11:35 AM

I went to my doctors yesterday and I'm only 33 weeks, but measuring 38 weeks!!! I had to have another NST done yesterday and I'm getting another ultra sound next friday so they can check the fluid level and size of the baby, she's checking for polyhydramnios which can cause problems for me. She seemed so surprised when I told her that I wasn't really having any contractions and my water had not broke yet and I still hadn't lost my mucus plug. So, I assumed that she think I will go into labor way before my due date. She did day that my body will think I'm farther along than what I really am and will start the process, but she doesn't want me to go into labor if it can be avoided because I'm having a repeat c-section.

babyblue2 - June 12th, 2009 8:34 AM

WOW!! I cant believe you are measuring so many weeks over! Is your doc very concerned? Will they adjust your C-section date? Hopefully you wont have to go through the pain of starting labour. Are you feeling ok otherwise?

Now that I am done work, I will be able to take it easy on the days when my hips hurt. That makes me happy. Gonna be lazy for the weekend, then try and finish my spring cleaning next week. Want to get it all done before the kids are home for the summer.

IsabellasMommy - June 16th, 2009 1:03 PM

Sorry that it's taken me this long to respond, I've been hurting and haven't really been on the computer. The doctor hasn't mentioned changing my c-section date, but I'm going to ask her on Wednesday when I go in for my 'weekly' appointments. I have been having some pains, which my friend said was contractions, but since I've never had real labor pains, i don't know. My heart hurts like it's either beating too hard or too fast and I find it harder to breath and then my stomach starts to cramp up a little. It's different than the braxton hicks that I've felt before. My back is hurting like crazy right now and I can't sit up straight because of how the baby is laying and I can't get her to move, she's such a stubborn baby. LOL

babyblue2 - June 18th, 2009 12:08 PM

How did your apt go yesterday? What did doc say? I can just imagine how uncomfortable you are feeling.

My head has been aching for the past few days (cuz of the rain), and its making me more and more naseous. Not fair since I had 18 weeks of MS in the beginning!! My back also bugs me quite a bit. DH and I like going for evening walks... usually just 30-45 mins... but lately when I get back, my hips and back start to ache. The baby also moves in a way nowadays, that makes me feel a stabbing pain through my cervix and up into my belly. Its awful! Sigh... 35 weeks and counting! We did have some fun this past weekend. DH and I made a cast of my tummy and it turned out really cool! I also got a few boxes of boys clothing handed down from a friend! I was soooo excited! 3 loads of laundry later, all the baby stuff is washed, folded and put away. I think he is pretty much set! The only thing I made need, is outfits for going out. I have tonnes of undershirts and jammies, but my friends' son was born in March, so all his outfits are long sleeved with pants. I like the little one piece rompers they have at Carters... soooo cute!

cjbbdb - June 22nd, 2009 12:03 AM

Hi all, I'm Belinda and I've enjoyed reading your posts and thought I'd say hello and introduce myself!

I'm 35 ish weeks pregnant with my little boy (I have a 21 month old girl at home) and I feel like I am 400 months pregnant! With my daughter, I had a tonne of energy and worked until 1.5 weeks before my DD (she was born on her DD) with this one, I am due 22 July, and it's a month away, but I feel so drained all the time. I'm meant to start leave on the 2 July, but I get a feeling I'm going to start leave this week sometime.

I am only just starting to "nest" where on the weekend I went through everything, got the cot up, the hospital bag packed, and the house tidied up (we have moved to Tassie away from our family, so are relying on a babysitter to look after my girl while I go into labour... house must be spotless for anyone to come over or else I start crying)... I'll be one of those women in labour, and who has to make the bed!

With my daughter, I ended up packing everything that was mentioned on all the "pregnancy websites" and I ended up packign the equivalent of 2 sportsbags.... with this one, it's like a smallish nappy bag!... hee hee!

This will be my last pregnancy, as there is no way I am going through another (MS was from week 5 every day until a week after DD was born, all day every day, this pregnancy started week 5 every day but stopped about 3 weeks ago... and started up again yesterday!)

Enjoy your pregnancy and labour and most of all the little sunshines who will be arriving in your lives!

cheers

babyblue2 - June 23rd, 2009 10:52 AM

Belinda - welcome! Your story could practically be mine! My lil boy is due July 26 and I have a 20 month old girl at home. Should be fun having 2 lil ones to chase... and we though we were tired now!!!

I am going through the nesting thing alright! Its driving my DH crazy, since of course, he gets roped into helping!

My MS was pretty bad too... lasted for 18 weeks. The worst was not being able to drink anything. I had trouble eating too, but for some reason, that was a little easier to deal with. I couldn't even take sips of water without it making me sick. That was the absolute WORST!! My mouth was so dry and pasty. Even rinsing it out made me ill. And it was like that for my last preg as well. Now I find the nausea returning (although thankfully not as bad), and I am not happy!! LOL

Anyway... a few more weeks left and hopefully it will all go away (and if it doesn't, we will be too distracted by our babies to notice!).

IsabellasMommy - June 25th, 2009 12:48 PM

Sorry that it's taken so long to respond, I've been 'resting' as much as I can. Even though I don't sleep well at night, I do through the day...lol My ultrasound went good on Friday and I went to my ob appointment yesterday. I was 34 weeks 1 day when I had my u/s and the baby measured 36 weeks and 6 days, so she's almost 3 weeks bigger. My fluid level is around 24.75, or very close to that, I don't remember the exact number, so I do have a higher amount of fluid in there as well. I am measuring between 38 and 39 weeks from the outside. They did tell me yesterday that she weighs about 6 lbs 8 ozs already!!! I have 3 weeks and 5 days until my c-section, so I can just imagine how much she will weigh then. I know that the u/s can be off by about a pound, but this baby is kind of chubby, so I can really see her weighing that much right now. My doctor checked me yesterday and still no dilation. I just wish that my body would do SOMETHING!!! I have to have weekly NSTs done now because of bigger baby and extra fluid, I hate having NSTs done. I've been cramping a little since last night, still going on right now, but it's not too bad, just uncomfortable. I thought yesterday it was just because she checked me, but now I'm not sure...lol I do know that it isn't anything to get excited about.
