I am 39 weeks pregnant and yesterday I noticed that I defo lost my mucus plugs when I went to the toliet, I know its grose but it looked like snot and it happened all day getting less but mainly when I wipe, does anyone know how long after your mucus plugs it takes till you go into labour? I have been having to go to the toilet loads losing stools today and have been getting period pains for over 2 weeks on and off. Today I have been getting a lot of BH contractions.

I am having reflexology and the lady is a midwife aswell and she reckons after losing your plugs its usually a week. I know I sound inpatient I just want my baby here safe and sound with us and was wondering if anyone else has had this before.

Advise welcome.

With my first, I had the really bad loose stools and cramps about 12 hours before going into labour. I don't recall losing my mucus plug though. With my second, I lost my plug (with a bloody show) 4 hours before he was born. With him, I had BH all day, and I lost my plug just after I started having real labour pains. With #3, I had none of the above. It can vary soooo much, as you see. Good luck, and just pay attention to your body (and be ready... it can be anytime now!!!).
