I am almost 28 weeks, actually I will be tomorrow.

I am starting to feel awkward walking around and getting out of cars and such. I do struggle with sleeping as of a couple night ago and I have some heartburn. However I have had heart burn for a while now. I don't like that I eat and get so full so fast and feel like I can't breathe. I didn't have any of these issues until a couple of days ago. So it is like when I started the third trimester all the issues started.

Well it is raining again today. Can't complain to much as it keeps the temperature down and makes my life a lot more comfortable.

sbea- It is crazy, we are in the same boat it seems. I will be 28 weeks on Thursday and my heart burn just started about a week ago. I used to get it every once in a GREAT while, just like everyone I am sure. Then the beginning of the third trimester started, and BOOM, heart burn almost everyday. It sucks!! Also, I HATE feeling like I can't breathe. It is the strangest thing. I know I "can" breathe, it just feels like I can't take a deep breath. In fact last night when I tried to take a deep breath, I physically couldn't. It is times like that I have to calm myself down and remind myself that I am breathing and am fine, it bothers me though. Also, for the first time tonight, my ankles were swollen. Now that has me thinking, oh great, how often is this going to happen and am I going to have fat ankles until the baby is born? The summer weather makes it worse I am sure though. And I hear what you are saying about the rain keeping the heat down. I live in Vermont, it doesn't get too too hot, but hot enough where I don't like it one bit, especially because I am pregnant. And I am just realizing it now...but this entire post of mine as been nothing but complaints, LOL! Just one more...Earlier tonight I was telling my husband that even though I love feeling him move around and that is the best part of being pregnant so far, that when he finally arrives I will be SO happy to not be pregnant anymore. Something else I like about being pregnant is a couple days ago I felt him have the hiccups for the first time, and every day since. It is amazing! Well, I should go take some f-ing Tums...heart burn is creeping up! LOL! I hope all is well with you and your little one, sbea!

I'm 28 weeks on Tuesday and have been heartburn and indigestion daily for quite awhile...not fun at all! I've also not been able to get a deep breath for about a month now...my little guy is up so high!! Besides that I love being pregnant! Love feeling the lil one move :)...did my registries yesterday...so overwhelming and exhausting! Anyone got the nursery set up or have started it yet?

Well it is two thirty in the morning and I am awake for now as I started to get heartburn and was thirsty.

As for a nursery we don't have it set up. My parents are buying the crib and we might now get it until Thanksgiving. My mom will be bringing a craddle so that should be nice. They said they would buy a dresser for us as well but I am not sure anymore and I hate talking about money stuff. So the nursery will get all set up once the baby has been here for about two weeks. Maybe that is a little backwards, but I live in a very some place. We really only have a crapy walmart and Sears cataloge. So it makes getting baby stuff hard.

Okay this might be TMI, but are any of you leaking yet? I am getting progressively worse. Like today I took my bra off and I was almost gushing. I filled the nursing pads I was wearing and had to get two clothes to basically express myself. That was about 4 horus ago and as I am writing this I am leaking into my night gown huge amounts. I guess I am going to have to do it all over again. I don't know if this is normal. I don't want to have to sleep with a bra on with nursing pads. That would be uncomfortable. Well I guess I am just wondering is all.

However Melay, I have to say I think I like being pregnant in a love hate sort of way. I know now I am going to miss it. I love feeling peanut move and my husband laying beside me feeling peanut move. Tonight he did the sweetest thing, he made up a song and started to sing for the baby. I don't know if Peanut heard him as he was singing quietly. But it was so precious and then said good night and that daddy loves you and kiss my tummy. I melted. I will remember things like that about being pregnant and end up forgetting all the crappy stuff I had to endure and have a second.

Well I think I am going to lay down again and try this thing called sleep.

Nighty- night girls.

I was wondering about the nursery as well. My mom is buying the crib and my mother in law, also my best friend, is buying the dresser. All my husband and I have to do is order it and put it together, or wait for my mom's fiance to put it together. We have yet to order it, but I really want to start getting everything together.

sbea- I have not started leaking yet, but I am sure I have that to look forward to. I am not sure whether or not it is normal right now. I thought that my hips/legs hurting so badly was just my hips spreading getting ready for "birth day"...but my midwife says it is too early for that, so what do I know. Now I have myself worried it might be something more serious. But it sounds to me like you will have no problem breast feeding if you are already leaking. You might be one of the (using this term loosely) "lucky" ones, who has a lot of breast milk and won't dry up.

I also love it when my husband talks to the baby. It is so sweet to hear him say I love you to him. Yesterday he was singing to me..."You're havin' my baby..." LOL! I loved it, like from Look Who's Talking. It was adorable!!!

Hey girls, I turned 27 weeks on Saturday! Yeah! Dicegirl, I wrote to you on the 2nd tri board regarding your hip pain. Nothing to worry about.
Leaking already? Poor you sbea, that sucks. I have those washable breast pads that are very comfortable (and cheaper in the long run), but didn't have to use them yet. I didn't have leaking problems the first time either... You can put a towel under you when you sleep...
Nursery... we have to rip out the carpet and install hardwood... and then paint, and then furniture. I ordered the furniture last week since it's real wood and takes 6-8 weeks to be delivered. I thought, oh well, lots of time left. But not anymore, LOL!

Okay, I am 29 weeks today. Time is flying by. Oh my I don't feel ready for this baby yet.

Well last night I was sitting and enjoying my belly move. It was constant for 40 minutes. It was so dramatic that my hubby could see it from 2 metres away. And now it is waking me up. Sweet eh? BUt it was pretty amazing!

Well I have to continue my laundry so I have something to wear to work today.

Well I went to the Doctor yesterday. I am very excited I passed my glucose test with flying colors!! Sweet!

So officially the doctor is making the prediction that it is a boy. Slow and clam heartbeat. So in about 11 weeks we will all find out!!

I also went to the doctor yesterday. She is guessing that he is about 2 pounds right now. From now on he should gain a 1/2 pound every week, or an ounce a day! CRAZY! I too passed my glucose test, but I am still wondering if I will have to do the 3 hour one. Now that is it getting closer and closer to my due date, I find myself thinking about the birth a lot! I am starting to get scared, I don't handle pain very well. I keep telling myself that he has one of two choices of how he's getting out of there, but either way he is coming out! I like knowing there is no choice...makes it easier for me, I must just be weird or something! LOL!!

sbea- It must be so exciting for you to not know the sex. I didn't have the self control to not find out, plus my husband REALLY wanted to know, and me too. How exciting to think it might be a boy! I am so happy for you, I can't wait to find out what you are having!

I had my glucose done last week...unfortunately, since it was a new doctor, I didn't know that they were doing it that day and had sugar cereal for breakfast. They called me the next day to let me know my sugar was slightly elevated and I needed to do the 3 hr test...just got the results and everything is normal - very good news! Guess I should have had toast for breakfast that morning :)

So far, we've gotten the crib, cradle, glider, and travel system...very exciting stuff! I'm supposed to be having a shower at some point, but since we just moved where my husband's family lives, I don't really feel comfortable asking when or where...I'm just not that close to them yet lol.

Dicegirl - I'm also starting to get scared...but less about the actual birth and more about having a newborn in my house!! It's been a very long time since I was around a newborn and the thought is kinda scary!!

melay86- We just ordered the crib and dresser for our little boy the other day. I have been looking at them for months now, and finally decided it was time to order them seeing as how there isn't much time left! INSANE!! We have had the bassinet for a while now, but it is still in the box waiting to be put together. We are lucky enough that my mom bought the bassinet and the crib, and my husbands mom bought the dresser. It is so exciting not to have to worry about the money for that. Also my dad just ordered us the car seat. It is a Britax one and is $229! Now we just have to register for a stroller. My mom and I are going to Babies R Us on the 25th, I am so excited to go there again. I haven't been since before I knew we were having a boy! We live more than an hour from one, so that is why it is so exciting for me!

I too should be having a shower sometimes along. I know that my Mom is throwing me one, but I don't know when. She wants that part to be a surprise! Bless her heart!!! It will be really exciting putting all of his things away after the shower, I can't wait. And although I am scared and a little worried abut the birth, I too am scared of having a new born in my house. I have been in child care for almost 7 years now, so it isn't like I am worried because I don't know what to do. I am worried because if a baby is crying I have always been able to hand them over to another staff member if I can't figure out what they need, and to their parents every night. I have never had to care for a child day and night, FOREVER! LOL!! I know it will be fine, it will just take some getting used to.

Hey girls! Glad everyone seems to be doing ok! Dicegirl, I thought of you last night LOL! I woke up feeling a lot of pain in my hips... I thought: "here we go again"...
Haven't heard back from the glucose test I did 10 days ago, so I assume all is OK.
Had a STRONG bh contraction the other night. Like a real contraction. Right after dh and I had sex. I wasn't worried about it as I know it can happen when the uterus contracts after an orgasm, but dh was terrified! LOL! You should have seen the look on his face! The contractions lasted for 25-30 seconds and after it was over he was like: are you all right, is everything OK? Is this normal? I kinda laughed and said, yes, don't worry!
During my first pregnancy, the bh contractions were mainly only towards the end of the pregnancy (like after 32 weeks) and were never strong... but I had been told by friends that it's different on subsequent pregnancies.
I'll have another u/s beginning of August to make sure the placenta has come up (was low at 20 weeks). It does come up in 95% of cases, so I'm not really worried...

Hey everyone. So tomorrow I am 30 weeks. I can't believe it. !0 weeks left. I have so much to do. I need to still set up the nursery. I get overwhelmed an stressed about it easily. I am sure everything will turn out alright. I just know we are pushin things here. My Hubby is going to be away for 3 days this week so we couldn't do prenatal classes this month but have to wait until August. That could put me about 6 to 5 weeks from my due date. We are nutty I guess. BUt I feel my dh should be there. As watching his face when we watched a baby's story together was so funny I am still laughing about it weeks later. HE looked horrified and pale. All he could say was " I don't like that, I don't like that at all."

Well I hope all of you are alright.

sbea- LOL to your husbands reaction to the baby stories. Today I was watching one and I left the room. My husband came to get me saying, "this woman on tv has been pushing for hours"! LOL, it was so cute, he wanted me to see. I love him! About that birthing classes, we are in the same boat. We have to start in the middle of the class at week 4 I think it is. We are taking them out of order...we don't start until August 4th.

Two exciting things happened tonight. One... we were away until today and when we got back our little guy's dresser came. We live in an apt. building, second floor, and the UPS or whoever delivered it left it at the bottom of the stairs. It is of course in a box and needs to be put together. It was extremely heavy so we had to open the box and take it up in pieces. I didn't really care because it is BEAUTIFUL! The color is amazing!! Two...I am sitting here at my lap top with my feet up because they are swollen, again. (Not the exciting part!) My belly starting moving like crazy! I have been watching it for a while now. He moves so much and some movements I don't feel and if I wasn't watching wouldn't even realize were happening. It makes me so excited to meet him. That will be a great and beautiful day!!

Hey Ladies! My parents just bought me a crib! I knew they were going to, but it felt amazing to be blessed like that. And it is here August 3rd! Well it is in a community close by that we will be there that day. I am so excited! It is getting real. I know that it is but it is hitting me that there will be a real human being going to be joining our family! I actually started a journal for Peanut as well. I don't know if it will be something I write in once in a while. And will fill up with my prayers and dreams for Peanut and filled with what I notice and present it one day, like on a wedding or or when they leave for college. I don't know but I trust that God is going to us this to know that Peanut was loved and treasured before they were born and during their life. I plan on doing this for all my kids.

Anyways, it must be the hormones that make me so sentimental! Dice, I am glad I am not the only one who is having issues with prenatal classes.

Wow, it has been quiet here for a couple of days. I am 31 weeks. Starting to get nervous. Am I ready for this?

My hubby asked me when I would like to try for our second child...lets just say I pretended I didn't hear him. I am not ready to think about it. I like being pregnant, but the last few days not so much. I have been so uncomfortable with the heat, rib pain and the fact I am starting to show the weight gain in my face. I know I will probably forget and have want one right away.

Well I didn't sleep very well last night due to the heat. And now I have to get ready for work. Hope you all are doing well!
