Are there any October mums-to-be out there? I live in Newcastle and after a miscarriage at 3 months in July last year, my husband and I are now 29 weeks pregnant. Our little boy is due on 19th Oct.
I leave work in 6 weeks, I can hardly believe it! I plan to take a year off then go back to work part-time.
I would love to hear from mums who are due around the samne time and what they are feeling etc.

I'm due Oct 17th (a girl). I wish I could be out of work for a year! Do you think it will be hard going back after all that time? I couldn't imagine doing it...but of course you do what you have to do. Will you go back to the same job or a new one?
I'm feeling ok for the most part..just little complaints here and there...mainly the heat this week. I could go on and on I suppose, but things could be worse so all in all I think i'm doing well. How about you?

I am due Oct 16th (boy). It is crazy to think that we are only a couple months away! Take care ladies!

TigerV...Your story is just like mine...I too had a miscarriage last year but in August and it was at 3 months. I am also 29 weeks pregnant and my due date is Oct 20th...I am having a girl....I am feeling fine so far.....

I'm 28wks preg, due late Oct. How I wish I could be not working for a year too, but I will have to go back to work after my 3-mth maternity leave. And I can only start my leave earliest 28 days before my EDD(unless there are complications or last-minute thingies). Sucks huh? But on the bright side... I'm looking forward to seeing my baby boy. It'll be a very precious 3mths that I'll get to spend with him, before I go back to work. =)

I am also due in oct, who knows which date is the right one, i have gotten 2 so far. First was my LPM date of Oct 13th and then the u/s showed me Oct 26th, so anytime after the 13th i guess will do. I will also take the year off and maybe stay home for one additional year and take some kids in the home for extra money until i can go back to work and bring my child to work with me. ( i am a early childhood educator for 2 year olds).

I am due October 25, just a week after you. It's getting difficult b/c I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but still have to wait a while.

October 27th here-a baby girl! I am 28 weeks. Ready for it all to be over. Feeling lots of aches and pains!!

Hi, I also live in the UK and am 28 wks - due on 26th October. I am counting down until I finish work but recently I have been getting more nervous about the birth - I try to put it out of my head. I am feeling pretty good but I do keep experiencing a few pains - like my stomach muscles have been pulled. Anyone else have this?? Good luck to all!!

soon2bmommy - August 8th, 2006 10:20 AM

Oct. 17th here not sure if its a boy or girl we are waiting for the big arrival. Deirdra- yep I am having some leaking its normal the only thing I can suggest is wearing a disposable nursing pad in your bra and to change them through out the day as needed. Totally normal your body is just getting ready for the little ones arrival. As far as Nursery themes we went with Noah's Ark... how about you??

KLT - August 8th, 2006 11:06 AM

I don't think it would be too girly.

amyn - August 8th, 2006 12:42 PM

I'm 30 weeks, due on Oct 14th with a boy and I'm leaving work on the 25th of this month and don't plan to go back for a long time. I want to be a stay at home mom, plus I want to work on my degree when the baby turns 4-6 months.

CaliTrish - August 8th, 2006 1:03 PM

Hi - I'm 31 weeks due on October 7th with a baby boy. I hope Stars & Moons aren't too girly cuz we're going with the same theme.
