Just want to take a quick poll (For previous mothers - not for those of us who 'think' we know what we're going to do). I just want to know how many women were able to make it without using epirural. Please keep your answer short so that I can tally up the results quickly. Thanks!!!!!

With my first almost 8 yrs ago no epi and with my 2nd 2yrs ago no epi and this one in 6 days no epi. Pains gone as soon as the baby comes. Thats one thing that gets me through it.

Had epidural with my first - a long and exhausting induced labour, but not with my second - easy 4 hours. Will only have one this time if labour is anything like my first - which I doubt.

I was induced and had epi with #1. I was induced at 5 am and delivered at 7:45pm. With #2 I had the epi and then it wore off and would not kick back in at around the last hour of labor. I went from a 6 to a 10 in that hour. Yes it was painful but I like the fact that I could feel what I was pushing for. It only took about 10ish minutes to deliver from when I started pushing. I liked it so much better. If I were to have another child I would go with no epi

I had no epi with first 2. Labors were quick and I was in control. Third I was induced labor was longer. I had to get an epi to relax. It worked 30 minutes later I was pushing. I was not able to walk for 2 hours after the delivery due to numbness in my leg. Otherwise no side effects. I am planning on being induced this time again and am open to the idea of an epidural.

Had 2 babies and no epidural. Too many other things to focus on after the baby without having to worry about vomiting and urine retention. Was happy, happy I could make it without. You can do it too! Good Luck
