Hi Nicole! I don't know if I forgot anything in my bag, but here is what I have packed: change of clothes for myself (pants are medium since I am sure I will still have a belly when I leave), nursing bra, nursing pads, Clothes for baby, diapers, receiving blanket, pacifier, change of clothes for DH, snack foods, cds and cd player, toiletries for us (toothbrush, etc.). I know they give you a lot of this stuff at the hospital for you and baby, but it is good to have it anyways. I know they will give us pads for our bleeding. I think that is about it for me, if I forgot anything maybe someone will add here...

I asked the nurse at our birthing class that question. She told me to do it at the beginning of your last month.

I'm just over 37 weeks...I've made a list of everything I need and want to bring and I started to pack somethings. I'm packing a warm robe and socks since it will be Feb. Also don't forget your "baby book" for footprints and things.

hey Nicole. I asked the same question a few weeks ago. I'm now 32 weeks also and have started a bag, and as I think about things I add them to it. i don't think its necessary to do it this early at all, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something to get ready, and I'm able to take my time and hopefully remember everything. So...I say its never too early. If you feel like doing it now, do it, because later you might not have the energy.

i packed a change of clothes for myself and the baby's diaper bag and put it in the car...you'll never know..anything can happen...

in addition to all that all you ladies have listed, don't forget the camera. We have a digital camera but we are also bringing a disposable camera incase something happens to the digital.

I fogot to say that i am 34 weeks, and I don't think it is too early for you to pack now! A friend of mine was very relaxed about packing her back, and she ended up going into labor 5 weeks early. so her dh had to run around and get everything ready for her. so pack your bag!

I paced about 4 weeks ago around week 33 or 34... I don't think you are too early if you want to just get started with packing your bag. I may have jumped the gun a little on mine though, just too excited to get it done...

I'm 34 weeks and have started now. It may be early, but why not. This way if my girl comes early it's one last thing to worry about. Just set a bag out and when you do laundry throw in a couple of things. Don't have to do it all at once.

i am almost 36 weeks and i have finished packing. my doctor told me to have my bags in the car because after one of my appts he could send me right to the hospital if i'm dialated. i go to the office once a week now. i would be packed no later than 35 weeks.

Something else to pack IMPORTANT. Buy some witch hazel from the drugstore for after delivery. It comes in a liquid,they provide frozen pad for swelling in the vagina areaplace a few drops on each pad to contro; the swelling,due the witch hazel everytime you change a pad till you are not sore anymore. I used some 1 week after my first cause I was still sore and within a day I felt better down there. I hope this all makes sense.

Three extra things that my midwife told me to bring - and don't freak out with one of them like I did - she told me to bring some toddler sized diapers - I asked for who and she said they were for me!! She said they do a better job of managing the bleeding after birth - she said the hospital will provide meshing underwear to go over them. Well needless to say I almost fell off my chair when she put that on the list!! Also she told me to bring chap stick because your lips can get dry and chapped - and some flip flops that you can wear in the shower and around your room - they should be waterproof. Hope this helps. And anyone with long hair - a scrunchie!

Hey everyone.....thanks for all the comments....i guess ill probably start to pack in about a week or so...and thanks for the camera reminder i would have forgotten that!

i would rather pack my stuff instead of my husband...my husband grabs the first thing he sees and will pack it not even thinking if it will fit or not...of course, bring a digital camera..that goes without saying...

I am 31 weeks and started packing. I stick stuff in my suitcase when I think of it.
