Pain In Late Pregnancy

I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant, in my second pregnancy, and i am experiencing sharp/stabbing pains in my vagina (almost like the baby is coming out). I have been to my doctor for this about 3 weeks ago and they detected no problem and my cervix was still long and hard. Could this be a sign that i will deliver before my due date? Or is it just my body preparing for labour (spreading apart)?

I am 38weeks and have been having the same thing for a few weeks now. my midwife told me that it is probaly the baby jumping on my nerve endings, so i suspect it has nothing to do with your dates....you just have a cheeky baby!!

Hey! I had same when I was pregnant with my daughter its just the babys head movin down even further for the big day ~ birthday
