Hey ladies. I know I'm a March mommy (due date was March 5), but just wanted to let you all know that Payslie Marie arrived on February 20th at 1:17 PM. She weighed 6 lbs even and is a little over 19 inches long. My c-section went very well. I am surprised at how great I feel. Totally different experience than the first time (in so many ways). I've had some issues with nipple soreness. The lactation consultant said she's got a high palette, whatever that means, but she has got a GRIP on her that has left me hurting pretty bad. I bought a pump yesterday on the way home from the hospital and am going to feed her breastmilk through a bottle for now. She latched on right after delivery very well, and for the most part is a good feeder, but I need to let my nipples recover from the few "bad" feeds. Anyways, I am so in love, even though I am going off of 2 hours of sleep right now. :)

I'm so happy for you, i'm glad you and little Payslie are doing well. Hang in there, breastfeeding can be rough at first but once you and baby get the hang of it it will be just fine.

Congratulations CodyKatie!! I am a long time reader here but a seldom poster. I remember you since 1997 when you had a stillbirth and that time i was pregnant (now my daughter is almost 16 months old). Payslie's big angel sister must be happy and proud watching you all from above. Enjoy the mommyhood :)

Oh Katie, congrats!!! I kept wondering how everything went. I am thrilled she is here, safe and in your arms. Hang in there with the BF it is very tough in the first few weeks, nipple soreness is a killer. Enjoy that little girl, I am so happy for you after all you have been through.
