It kinda depends on the person. A couple of times I have taken it, there was no reaction. The last 2 times, it usually happened in about 3-4 hours, but that's after I walked about 2 miles. I wanted to use it to put me into labor, but it never worked. I wish you better luck.

I took it last night and had some really bad contractions my body was not dialating fast enought so they gave me potosin im still in the hospital waiting for my baby the castor did work in giving me contractions

then you were ready to go...castor oil does not work.
