I went to the bagel shop saturday morning thinking i was having my usual braxton hicks and as we were leaving I said "I don't feel right, I'm going to call the doctor" Well I did and she said to go to the hospital to get checked. When I got there (around 10:15 am) I was 4 cm and 100%, I had him at 1:11pm. I was able to go natural like I wanted. He is a healthy little guy and he eats like a horse about 50cc's every 2-2.5hrs which has made breast feeding a challenge, but we're working on it. Just wanted to check in. Oh and by the way I AM EXHAUSTED, havne't slept since friday and have had enough of visitors. So glad I have today to just me and my family!!!!

Thanks! 7lbs 6 ozs 19.5", so pretty much average.

Congrats! That was one fast labour!!! Was this your first? I'm inspired everytime I read that yet another person did it with our pain meds...way to go!

This is actually my second the first was born in 2 hrs 15 mins, I went natural with her because I had no choice and it was tolerable so I was determined to do it again.

BTW his head got stuck through 3 pushes and so his face was bruised and purple, I was so upset I didn't believe the doc when she said it'd go away, well I'm happy to say I have a pink baby today!

Oh yeah and a word of advice, if there is something you very much want before, during or after labor make sure you make it known to your partner and make sure they understand how important is to you. I had a few things on my list and I was not in the right mind to really articulate much because labor came on so fast and my husband was sure to tell them, DO NOT nag her about drugs, ask once and then lt it be, she'll let you know if she wants it, YES she wants to hold they baby before you clean him off, YES she wants our daughter brought in right away, BEFORE anyone else. It really helped that I drilled this stuff into his head. He was great and Igot what I wanted.
