There are so many choices for car seats, strollers, high chairs, etc..... Any opinions as to which ones to choose? I'm due April 3rd and my husband and I will be doing our baby registry soon.

Pesonally, I splurged on teh stroller and toddler car seat. The high chair, I bought the cheapest one, and the baby carrier I borrowed (he was only in it for 4 1/2 months). I bought an expensive care seat called Brimax. It is more expensive, but it has the hightest safety rating, so that sold it for me.

We had an infant carrier/travel system with our first, and by about 6 months we had to upgrade. We ended up getting the Britax car seat and loved it. We have since moved to germany and Britax is the only one sold in the us that meets the higher european requirements! This time we opted for just going ahead with the another Britax since it is good for babies over 6 lb and up through toddlers. My oldest is 3 and still using hers! We are going to borrow a carrier just for a little while for our second car ect. for a few weeks.

We got the car seat that grows with your child. It's a safety first carseat and I it's from walmart it's 130 bucks but it's for children from 5-100 lbs! It will be worth it I think, and the good thing about it is if you have other children in your family but don't have the baby that day you can always travel with any size child and not worry about not having the proper seat....

My carrier is an graco (travel system) and the car seat she'll be using after that will be the Britax....The high chair I registered for was a Fisher Price brand. A friend of mine has that brand and used it for both of her child and it held up great and no complaints.

The evenflo triumph got the best ratings for safety. That is the one we chose. As for the stroller/travel system. We went with the Laura Ashley Canterbury and splured on that cuz I loved it so much! As far as high chairs go, we hated all of them. They aren't the most attractive. So we went with the one that had the best ratings for safety, durability and cleaning which is the Fisher Price Aquarium seat

Graco Snug & Ride car seat is well-rated by Consumer Reports and some other books I read. And its not ridiculously priced. You can either get the travel system, or we ended up with Babytrend Snap N Go stroller frame that holds any car seat. Its lighter and folds smaller than the travel systems, but it means we'll have to buy another one when she outgrows the car seat.

we used a book called the baby bargin book, they have rated all brands from everything from stollers to cribs to diapers. You can get that latest issue on amazon for 5-6 dollars. it helped us alot when we picked out our stuff.

In addition to checking Consumer Reports, get on the Amazon/Babies R Us web site and for each product you can see reviews by customers that actually have used the specific items. I found that the most helpful think I looked at, as it alerted me to which items/brands people thought were great, or what problems certain ones had when you were trying to use them.

We got the Combi Connection / carseat and stroller combo. The stroller is soooo lightweight and folds up really small.

OMG, I am getting the sit and stroll strollers, and it is a stroller/car seat, go to target.com and type in sit and stroll strollers, it is the best investment. It holds infents to 5 year olds and with one push of a butten it goes from car seat to stroller!!
