I was wondering..are babies active right up until they are delivered? I am 40 weeks and almost 6 days past my due date. My baby is still very active..quite low feeling and in position but no contractions. I see and feel quite alot of movement. Does the baby move less if you are having true contractions or going into labour or if your water breaks? Is it good the baby is moving alot? Or does it indicate that it's still having a great old time inside the womb? I am truly hoping my baby will come VERY soon. I have induction set for Tuesday but wishing the baby would come before.. I am scred the induction will fail or that my baby is truly not ready to come out. I am a first time mom..

My son was a wiggle worm up until the day I delivered him. He was engaged and everything already and he would still manage to make me miserable!! LOL I think they can be pretty active up until you are in labor...once I was in labor, I don't remember if he was moving or not, I was too worried about the pain I was in!! LOL...then I got the epidural and couldn't tell you after that either because I was numb :)

My little girl moved right up till the moment she came out of me. All through my contractions and then as she was being delivered as the Dr was trying to get her to turn as she was face up during delivery. So don't worry about movement meaning she won't be out for a while.
