Feelings A Little Hurt

my mom told me last night that she won't be at the hospital when I have my repeat c-section tomorrow (tuesday) bc her housekeeper is coming to help her pack. she has until saturday to move into her new house... and we've know about the moving day and scheduled c-section for weeks. I'm a little surprised that she doesn't want to be there with me. Am I being too sensative? My dad died suddenly 5 months ago and I was already sad about him not being there. I'll get over it... just wondering what yall would think if your mom did this.

Wow..maybe your mom will come around. I think that she should DEFINITELY be there. It's not like she would have to wait around as you have a scheduled c-sec. I think you should talk to her and tell her how important it is for her to be there with you. If she still feels her packing is more important..maybe she can pack her bags and leave them indefinitely when it comes time to see the baby. I would be hurt too. This shocks me. I hope things turn out for the best..and you have a wonderful delivery. All the best.
