Menstrual Cramps/labor?

So Ive been having a few small contractions all day (39 weeks and 2 days) they dont hurt too bad they feel a lot like period cramps. The only difference is that about halfway thru them I get a real sharp pain in my lower abdomen/ vagina area. I had my membranes stripped Wed and have been losing my mucus plug ever since. Could this be labor pains or am I just getting my hopes up for nothing? Does anyone have any idea? Oh and they are averaging about 15 minutes apart right now.

hey there, i dont know if you still here, but to answer your Q's. if you have like really bad periodlike cramps than that labor. but only if its like 5 mins or something. hope all its well. gluck with the newborn coming

Thanks ChannY Im not calling the dr or anything until they are a lot closer togetther (5 mins or so). I just dont want to keep thinking these are real if they arent.

hiya, yah i know. its frustrating but the body is getting ready for labor. but if its keeps bugging you, you should go and get dilation check and whats not.
