I am pregnant with my second son and I am 29 weeks pregnant. But all of a sudden I am begining to get really scared of labor and delivery. Suddently I can remember how painful it is and scared for it to happen again. Is this just me or does anyone else feel the same way?

I felt that way when I went to the prepared childbirth refresher class. We watched a video of women in labor, making goofy noises and looking possessed. I suddenly remembered that we chuckled about those videos in the first childbirth class and that it really was that bad and worse! After a few days, though, I started regaining my faith in myself, that I can do this again and I can survive even this for a day. I still have moments when I am really scared about going through it again, but I keep reminding myself that I can do it! I have to get the baby out and get home-My husband can never find my daughter's shoes if I'm not there ; )

i am also 29 weeks with number 2, due 2ng august and one minute can feel all excited and eager and then five minutes later be filled with anxiety, keep reminding myself that millions of women have done it for thousands of years and with no where near the pain relief and support we get now. that calms me down, plus the pain is over relatively quickly really. couple of days maximum. have already decided there is nothing wrong with not being a hero and am going to have a spinal block if i need it. we all know its worth it for the beautiful end result x
