heya ladies and new bubs.. big cuddles for kaleb and jacob!! hope all is doing well.. baby has started to drop now so im thinking that the early august baby i keep dreaming about may very well happen!! WOO HOO!!! other than that all is well..

fefer1 - July 25th, 2006 12:17 AM

I had the worst cramps/back ache today!!! I was driving home and all of a sudden I got period like cramps in my lower belly and a low back ache. It was so bad i wanted to cry! I didn't know if I was going to make it home without having to pull over because it hurt so bad. I don't know if it was just the baby hanging out real low and putting some pressure on my body or what. Anyone else experience that? Also, and I know this is just lovely, but I have just the opposite of all of you with constipation. All of a sudden I have to go all the time! 3 times a day sometimes! I don't think I'm eating anything out of the ordinary or different. It's very annoying! I got all freaked out after my labor class when they told me that your body "cleanses" itself out before labor. I'm not quite 34 weeks yet!! It's too early! ;)

Karen_Fletcher - July 25th, 2006 5:32 AM

Hiya, I know I am not a mummy2be anymore, hope you dont mind me posting still now and then.... My little man is doing good, he weighs 3lbs 1 and abit oz, the little bit matters!!!! hope you are all ok and the heat isnt getting to you too much. Take care :o)

sophandbob - July 25th, 2006 7:05 AM

HI everyone! We are finally almost there! Our nursery is set up, we have crib ready for a baby, a wardrobe full of clothes, and I am just setting about 'fluffin' putting all those extra homey touches to the room. baby is head down, but doesn't seem too bother about enagging yet (I am only 33 weeks however) I think this is because he is having such a good time in there and is being spoilt rotten! he is currently measuring 37 weeks, (and roughly 7lb) and is taking all the stuff I eat, so I'm not putting on any weight except for what is ascribed to the baby and bits! They won't move my due dates as they are going by the ones fromt he dating scan at 12 weeks, and just assume he's a big baby, alhtough i have always felt I was further along. They are talking about inducing me at 38 weeks, which might well make me an august mummy.

Ofcourse we don't mind Karen, we love to hear from you and Lil Lady, glad to know Jacob is gaining weight and yes every little bit matters. Keep us posted. Fefer1, has the pain stopped now or is it constant or are they getting closer together. When I was in labor with my first, I had cramps, I didn't even think I was in early labor since they were very slight, but then they were 11 mins apart, after a couple of hrs, 8 mins and they were right on the dot , and then my water broke so had to go to the hospital. I'm 34 weeks as well and would ideally like the baby to come around 39 weeks, hey but we can control that. They'll come when they are ready. Just enjoy your pregnancy I know that you ladies will be like what is she talking about, especially in this heat, but the first couple of weeks with a newborn is far more challenging than labor or late pregnancy ask anyone who has recently experienced it. After time we all forget though.

julesnac - July 25th, 2006 12:25 PM

hi mommys2be! karen, please do keep us posted. you and lil lady both are part of us :-)
fefer i get those pains every once and while, but like tanya said, pay attention to whether they stop or continue.
i had a non stress test yesterday cause my little guy seemed to stop moving much in the last couple days. he was still w/in the 10 movements per hour, but overall was just being sooo quiet. everything was ok, they said he's probably just getting bigger and maybe settling head down which gives him less room for the movement i was feeling. i think it was someone here on the board #2 asked about identifying parts thru the belly.... i've been trying to also. my mwife said it'll be another week or so before they can distinguish that. i could never tell w/ my first but this one is already easier to make out where what is. heat was dying down here for me in MI but it's supposed to get back up in the 90's this week- but rain on and off all week too, yuck. long as it's nice saturday, i have my outdoor shower that day!

fefer1 - July 25th, 2006 12:49 PM

Tanya2 The cramping went away - but it lasted for about 20 minutes. Just real painful period like cramping that was constant. I guess she was just pushing on something - I don't know! I'll mention it to my dr tomorrow.

fefer1 - July 25th, 2006 1:30 PM

And my baby moves all the time!!! She's been super active the last several days - all over the place. Kicking out my right side, poking her head and hands around my cervix area....I also wouldn't mind an earlier baby. :) My mom's bday is Sept 2nd - and we have a long history of firstborn daughters having their firstborn daughter being born on their grandmother's birthdays. I would hate to break that tradition! ;)

tryingx3 - July 25th, 2006 2:11 PM

Fefer1 - how neat. My mother was born on her Father's birthday - April Fools Day! Of all days!

Mingill - July 25th, 2006 2:26 PM

Afternoon Ladies, ferfer, sorry to hear about your cramps, no idea what caused them, but I'm glad they've gone away for you. I was just talking to DH how much I'm going to miss being pg. This is my first and it has gone so well (so far). I'm a bit scared of the whole labour and delivery but aren't we all. I did have a dream that I had a baby girl and the labour and delivery went so fast, I was home before I'd realized I'd even had the baby, then I had to go back to the hospital and get her. Don't know what that means... Karen, we love to hear from you and Lil Lady, please do keep us posted on Jacob. And yes all those little bits are important, eventually they add up to ounces and pounds.

fefer1 - July 25th, 2006 2:31 PM

Mingill I've had dreams like that too, but not for a while. I had a dream that the dr's cut me open at an appt to check on the baby ( normal thing in the dream) but I didn't want them to put her back! She was so cute I wanted her right then, but they said it wasn't time so they put her back in and sewed me up. That was a little strange. :)

CamysMama - July 25th, 2006 7:34 PM

Hey girls, I hope you all are staying cool! Karen and Lil Lady, please do keep us posted, we love to hear how the little men are growing! There is a wild rummor going around here that we might be in for a cooling spell in the next few days... it might drop to the 80's! :o) I am so sleepy I can hardly keep my eyes open at work, and I keep fantasizing that I fall asleep and wake up in 7 weeks when it's time to have this baby! I'm starting to get a little antsy - at the beginning of my pregnancy I used to think I'd rather Camy came late than early, but now I feel just the opposite! I'm just a little nervous about labor, and would like to get it overwith, and also I'm unbearably curious about Camy, what kind of baby will she be? What will she look like? I can't wait to meet her! Love ya girls, stay cool! :o)

Tanya2 - July 25th, 2006 8:34 PM

fefer1, My baby moves all the time too, it gets really annoying at night. He is constantly moving. I keep telling myself its better this way rather than staying up worrying since there hasn't been any movement. With him moving and with my heartburn it takes me forever to get to sleep and I'm usually exhausted by the end of the day. I just keep saying to myself due date is less than 6 weeks away, we have come so far, the end is almoast here.

Tanya2 - July 25th, 2006 8:46 PM

fefer1 , hope your cramps are better now. Definately mention them to the doctor.

stormy - July 25th, 2006 9:50 PM

karen i would be soooo disapointed if u or lil lady didnt drop in!!! fefer - cramps i know how u feel.. try a hot wheat pack if they get really bad it helps for me..sophandbob - congrats on the finishing of the nursery.. am figuring it must be summer where all of u are at.. its winter in australia and its proving to be not to bad so far.. considering its almost over..just gets a lil chilly when the rains starts up..not much has been happening on our side of the world.. bubs appears to be growing well and the drs are still monitoring me closely which is good.. we get a scan once a fortnight now so its great to see how much she grows in that time etc.. well take care all must get back to studying. xxxx

Lil Lady - July 25th, 2006 10:28 PM

I'm still here! Kaleb is fine, minus the sleep apnea, reflux & occasional edema (swelling) on face/neck. His latest weight is 3 lbs & 12 ozs & still 16.5 inches long. I feel like giving up on my breast pumping, it's hard not having my baby to feed! I will def keep you ladies posted here & on the yahoo sept mommies site! =)

Karen_Fletcher - July 26th, 2006 4:04 AM
