Vaginal Stinging

I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been feeling bursts of stinging in my vagina. It doesn't last very long but it is very painful. I have already lost my mucus plug and this is my second child. I know that the baby is head down, but I am not sure if she has dropped yet. Does anyone have an idea what this could be from?

I have stinging sensation sometimes too. I am 34 weeks and it started about a week ago. I didn't loose my mucus plug yet, but I didn't do that with my daughter either till the day I went into labour. I think the stinging sensation is from the baby pressing down and probably pressing either on a nerve or your cervix. For me it only lasts a few seconds. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it persists and last for longer than a few seconds at a time.
