Of course most places have the big 1 that some babies sit next to or stand next to...that's cute...if you look at sears or jcp dot com they have prop ideas. When we got my dd's pics taken ( when she was 4 months) there was a 1 year old getting her pics and they had her dressed in a cute summer dress...They just had her stand up, walk a few steps and she'd fall down (not hard) and they got some cute pictures of that, then of course the tummy shots are cute! Sometimes I think simple is best :)

When we made an appointment at Portrait Innovations for 1st birthday pictures, our photographer suggested that after taking some with outfits on that we bring a round table cloth (to protect their place) and a cake and then we strip her down to a diaper and let her at it while they took pictures. The pictures turned out great! They are my favorites of the 1 year pictures. I don't know if every Portrait Innovations or other places, will let you do that, because it was quite messy to get her cleaned up after, but it was fun.

Yes, I like the ONE that Sears does, but I don't want to go to Sears - my only chance is on a Saturday and the last time I went it was STRESSFULL!! because they did not have enough staff. I like the cake idea and had a friend suggest something similar - Walmart makes a cute little cake for $3.99 she could destroy...
